Photo gallery: Novelists, The Word Alive, Elwood Stray and Ashen in Munich

March 3, 2024

Last week quite an international line-up came to Munich. We had two bands from France – Novelists and Ashen, one from Germany – Elwood Stray, and The Word Alive from the US on stage at the Backstage Halle. The show had an early start at 7 pm and ended at about 10.20 pm, which is perfectly ok, since it was Monday which might not be the most popular day for a line-up of 4 bands. Nevertheless, all four bands played great sets. Enjoy the pictures and see for yourself. Ashen Ashen have no new tours announced so far, just some single dates. Make sure to check out their social media for updates. Elwood Stray Elwood Stray do have some festival participations announced. Keep yourself updated via their social media/homepage. The Word Alive The Word Alive will be joining Asking Alexandria and Memphis May Fire on their tour through the US. Make sure to get your ticket(s) HERE. Novelists Novelists will be joining ERRA on their US tour. Get your tickets HERE. For more information on [Read More]

Cory Wells announces new album – new single “Natural Disaster” out now!

March 3, 2024

About three weeks ago singer-songwriter Cory Wells has announced his brand new album “Harboring The Hurt I’ve Caused”, which will be released 15th March 2024 via Pure Noise Records. With the announcement he also shared a new single “Hopeless” to celebrate the cause. Speaking about the album Cory said “I didn’t know if this album was going to come out of me. I have always written from trauma. It can be exhausting, debilitating, and sometimes unhealthy. This record is no different. It can be difficult to admit that the problems in your life may be no one’s fault but your own. The first album was just one side of the story. “Harbouring the Hurt I’ve Caused” is all about the damage that I have done and how it feels to live with my mistakes every day. I realize I’ve been blind, and once I can finally see, the fear that the end is certain, begins to settle in. I believe we all experience this as much as I wish that weren’t true. March 3, 2024

Kill The Lights, which features former members of Bullet for My Valentine, Throw the Fight, Threat Signal, and Still Remains, have announced their sophomore album “Death Melodies” about a month ago. It will be released this Friday, March 8 via Fearless Records. To celebrate the exciting news, the band has also shared the video for “From Ashes” back then. With its classic, ’80s semi-ballad songcraft twinned with modern sounds, “From Ashes” is a new anthem that should accompany all your rigorous activity. Going to the gym? Then put “From Ashes” at the top of your playlist, as it will get the blood and adrenaline pumping through those veins. “‘From Ashes’ lyrically discusses having to live with the pain of knowing that you let your loved ones down”, the band offers. Certain bonds cross any and all borders and boundaries. Kill The Lights harbor this kind of connection between them. Even though you’ve got Michael “Moose” Thomas [drums] and Jason “Jay” James [bass] in Bridgend, Wales, James Clark [vocals] in Minneapolis, MN, Jordan Whelan [guitar] in [Read More]
