Maddy Wood releases soulful new rock track, Too Old To Play Pretend

For our Music Monday Fix, we want to introduce you to Maddy Wood. At the young age of 20, she is delivering music wise beyond her young years. The talented singer songwriter, which is self-described as the purple rock-n-roll glitter princess is bringing her soulful rock to the music scene.

She has just released her debut single, Too Old To Play Pretend and it is the perfect blend of classic rock and modern pop.  ‘Her music combines her love for the classic rock sounds of Led Zeppelin and Stevie Nicks with a modern pop sensibility, soulful vocals and thought-provoking lyrics.’

About Maddy Wood

For her debut single Too Old to Play Pretend, Maddy worked with New York City based producer Arthur Pingrey to transform acoustic demos into a fully-fleshed rock band performance with an addictive hook.

Hailing from Providence, Rhode Island, Maddy started playing guitar and writing songs at age 7 and picked up piano in middle school. She honed her vocal technique and learned how to rock out at Girls Rock RI summer camps as a kid, and sang in her high school jazz band. She is currently studying music and the arts at Bennington College.
