Just last week, we were blown away by another great tour making a stop in San Francisco. The tour is the Smokin Hot Tour which features Texas Hippie Coalition made a much needed stop at the DNA Lounge. The crowd was fired up and ready to party! The tour features Red Sky Mary and 3 Eighty 3 as support and local bands Flexx Bronco and The Devil In California rounded it out for an unforgettable night of music.

3 Eighty 3 started the night off with a fiercely energetic set with their style of outlaw metal done right. Definitely make sure to get their early so you don’t miss their set!

Next up was Flexx Bronco and it has been a while since I have seen them and after their incredible set, I hope I don’t have to as long again. They were absolutely rockin the stage.

We were excited to see The Devil In California up next. They have been one of our favorite local bands that are soon to become well known all over. We had a chance to chat with the band before their set and you can check it out along with more photos here: http://wp.me/p5rd2k-bBF   They have such a great stage presence and always have the crowd rockin and rollin. They sounded spot on and delivered an epic set. I can’t wait for their next show.

Next up was a band we featured last year and have been waiting for them to come out to the West Coast. Red Sky Mary from Portsmouth, NH is a must see. They bring to life a new sound meshing everything from classic rock to hard rock with a flash of blues. These four deliver a powerful sound that will immediately draw you in and have you fall in love with them. We will be posting soon some more photos and our interview soon.

Then last but definitely not least was the stellar set by Texas Hippie Coalition. We were blown away when we first saw them last year out on the Mayhem Fest and we couldn’t wait for their return to the Bay Area. Their unique and unrivaled sound of Red Dirt Metal is what the music scene has been missing for a while. They have created their own style and sound that is infectiously fun and the highlight of the night. The tour continues on and I would strongly urge you to get out to a show. You will be blown away and treated to a night full of incredible bands.

Make sure you have their latest album, Ride On which was released last year via Carved Records/Caroline Distribution. “It’s like Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top had a child, and Pantera ended up raising it,” exclaims Big Dad Ritch. “We’re Red Dirt Metal. That’s a flag we wave high. There wasn’t a line formed for us, so I created a line and jumped to the front of that bad boy. Ride On is the best example of what we do.”  You can also check out an interview we did with Texas Hippie Coalition last year at Mayhem:

Make sure to visit their social media sites and stay up to date on their latest news.
