Well, here we are on the Monday after NAMM 2014. What a great week it was for Musicians. The trade industry convention, NAMM brought in an estimated 100,000 to the Anaheim Convention where dealers, musicians and gear heads could check out the latest and greatest in the music technology and products.

Music Junkie Press was there and it was a wild week. We just got back home tonight and this week will be putting together all of our NAMM coverage, highlights, concert reviews, photographs, and much more. From shows at the Whisky a-Go-Go in Hollywood, to Stevie Wonder jamming out some tunes on a show visitor’s harmonica, to interviewing all kinds of bands; Switchblade Serenade, Farewell My Love, Harlot, Bloody Mary, Emperors and Elephants, Tempting Fate and so many more.  We have a lot to go through but we will have our first batch of write-ups coming to you tomorrow, so stay tuned!! If you were at NAMM, send us your highlights, we just might feature it in our NAMM 2014spotlight.

After every NAMM…. the NAMM-over begins. It starts to hit you right about Sunday morning which is the last day of the convention. You know the inevitable is about to happen as the show comes to a close. You are dreading the end of an unforgettable week where you made contacts, revisited old friends, made new friends and just enjoyed the Disneyland for Musicians: NAMM.  Your sleep deprived body, aching feet and over-stimulated mind is about to erupt on Sunday night. Then Monday morning after a good night’s rest, you can’t even imagine that your feet ever hurt so bad. The pain is gone, the ooh and ahh sighs of musician sightings are a distant memory, it is all fading out.  The only think you have now as you set out on your journey home is a SHITLOAD OF AWESOME MEMORIES that will keep you alive in your NAMM-over as you gaze at the calendar and start counting down to NAMM 2015!

  1. You all are the best! It is so refreshing to see real, hardworking journalists do a fantastic job. Sorry I couldn’t join you this year – had too many pre-Grammy things to do, but maybe next year. In the meantime, if there is a Peabody award for music coverage, you should get it.

  2. As my comment said, you all are the kind of real, hardworking journalists that the rest of us rely on. If there is a Peabody for what you do, you should get it. Hope to join you next year.
