Here we go on Day 5 of the 12 Days of Guitarists and we are pleased to bring you shredder extraordinaire Xander Demos! Xander is one shredder that will have you in awe of his playing. Countdown of 14 Bands that will rule in 2014, #8 goes to While She Waits

Today we are at #8 on the countdown of 14 bands that will rule in 2014. We are pleased to bring you While She Waits, a Hard Rock Rock band with some Southern flare from Phoenix, Arizona that are rapidly gaining attention in the music scene. They have been signed to TMG Records and are currently working on their next album. 2013 has brought them a lot of much deserved attention. With their Southern Rock sound that rumbles in like a rock n roll freight train, you just have to hop on board and enjoy While She Waits. WAYLAND releases new single, “Reno”

Last this year, I told you about an awesome band, Wayland that will have you rockin out within seconds of hearing them! We saw them perform during NAMM 2013 at the Dean NAMM Jam and they rocked the show. They are now back with their new single release, “RENO”. Hold on tight, this one is gonna take you for a nice ride….. So make sure to head over to Itunes and download this bad ass song. It has such an alluring edge to it that just has you enjoying precision drumming, smoking guitar work, slamming bass and intense power vocals. Lisa Lim delivers infectious blues based rock!

What do you get when you take some sweet blues, blend it with powerhouse vocals and top it with some rockin guitar? Well the incredible music of Lisa Lim, that is what. You can’t help but move to the great groove that Lisa gives out with her songs especially like “Superstitious Mind” or “Distant Second”. Wayland Rocks the Dean NAMM Jam 2013

Wayland The annual Dean NAMM Jam was held on Friday, January 25th at The Grove in Anaheim. It was quite an awesome night with Shinedown headlining the show. What was great as well, is one of my favorite bands that I told you about last year, Wayland was also performing. Here is the link to my previous post on the great music of Wayland. Wayland came out and rocked the show. These guys just have incredible energy and I love their music! Tony Harnell, Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal and Cassandra Soto; the highlight of NAMM 2013!

My week at NAMM provided me with my much needed fix of music gear, great concerts, catching up with old friends and making new ones. I must tell you that my highlight of NAMM was not meeting a certain musician even though all that I met were truly wonderful in many ways. It was not about catching a concert and discovering a new band, even though I did get a chance to do just that and will tell you all about that in a future post. It was not about the parties or the dinners, those were incredible as well. My highlight was just at the tail end of NAMM. Only an hour before the entire show closes, did my highlight come. I had been so busy during the week and had missed catching Tony Harnell at one of the booths earlier and on Saturday night my husband took Ryan to the Stryper concert at the House of Blues while I took Brandon out to Downtown Disney. NAMM Metal Jam 2013 hits the Whiskey on the 23rd!

NAMM METAL JAM 2013 NAMM is only a week away and it is going to be an exciting one this year. One of highlights of this upcoming NAMM week will be the NAMM Metal Jam 2013 which is being held at the legendary Whiskey A-Go-Go on January 23rd.
