May 29, 2014

“I’m saying hello to a new dream I’m taking it back what’s left of me Don’t even try You can’t stop me now! I gotta feeling where I used to be numb. I can feel it now rushing through my blood. I’m stronger than I ever thought I was, and now I found another way out of here.” – Scott Stapp ‘Break Out’ Lyrics Grammy award winning artist Scott Stapp will be hitting the road this summer in support of his solo album, Proof of Life. Love Crushed Velvet release new video for Lover, Leave The Lights On

May 29, 2014

Love Crushed Velvet from New York City have released their new video for their song, “Lover, Leave The Lights On”. The track was originally released on Love Crushed Velvet’s compelling new EP Delusions in September, mixed by Mark Needham (Blondie, Fleetwood Mac, The Killers). Love Crushed Velvet brings to life their melodic rock track with captivating vocals. In regards to the video, lead singer/songwriter A.L.X. explains, “Lover, Leave the Lights On” is about a love triangle in which a woman would only be intimate with her husband with the lights off so she could pretend that it was her lover that she was sleeping with.  The song was written from the husband’s perspective.  For the video, we decided to go with the idea of the love triangle, but to take a more literal approach“. Check out the video here:   We had the opportunity to talk with Love Crushed Velvet and are pleased to repost that interview here: * * * * * *  Music Junkie Press: Thank you so much for taking the time out to talk with us here at Music [Read More]

May 28, 2014

The Relapse Symphony from Washington, DC are set to release their debut LP Shadows on July 8th via Standby Records. The highly anticipated album will show the progression of the band since their release of their 2013 EP, Time’s Running Out. Guitarist JC Charles explains, “When we recorded our EP we were still in the infancy of our band. We were still experimenting and finding ourselves as musicians, and as people. We all went through some of the toughest times of our lives during the making of this album, and we came out on the other side with something we are all extremely proud of. This record is something we know our fans are going to get a lot out of, and hopefully will make us some new fans along the way.” This album is truly a fantastic work by this young band.
