Earlier this year, I told you about one of my favorite releases this year, a solo project by Matt Sorum. Matt Sorum‘s Fierce Joy released his new album, Stratosphere on March 11th and it is a truly amazing work of art. Many know Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Matt Sorum for his role as legendary drummer of Guns n’ Roses, The Cult, and Velvet Revolver but now through his new album, Matt sheds a new light on his musical talents and once again has you in appreciation and awe. Matt wrote the entire album and plays the piano, acoustic guitar and lead vocals. He even chose to record it on a front end analog, Trident console. Once you take a first listen, you will be shaking your head ind wonder about why we haven’t been treated to the sweet sound of Matt‘s voice sooner. Gilby Clarke releases video for Tijuana Jail on 20th anniversary of solo album

Gilby Clarke, primarily known for his former role as guitarist in Guns n Roses and MC5. Gilby is not only an amazing guitar legend but also quite a stellar singer and songwriter. He has recently released a video for his song, Tijuana Jail which was featured on his solo album Pawnshop Guitars 20 years ago. Augustana release new video for “Ash and Ember”

Augustana have just released their new album Life Imitating Life earlier this week through Washington Square. The album was produced by John O’Mahony (Coldplay, Metric, Kashmir) and recorded in Rhinebeck, NY and Nashville, TN. This is the fourth full length album and the first for Washington Square. The album takes the listener on a musical journey with passionate, poetic songs that are emotionally driven and tell a powerful story. Augustana have released the first official music video for the first track off the album, Ash and Ember. Dave Mason premieres new version of Dear Mr. Fantasy from forthcoming new album

The iconic singer/songwriter/guitarist Dave Mason, the co-founding member of Traffic has premiered a new version of Traffic’s song Dear Mr. Fantasy. The song is off the rock and roll hall of fame inductee’s forthcoming new album, Future’s Past which features new versions of some of his classic songs plus new material is set for a May 13th Release on Something Music/MRI. Today our Bottle Rock Napa Featured Artist is James Otto. Today I wanted to feature country artist, James Otto. I love James’ vocals. As many of you know I don’t listen to country that often. I guess it can best be explained by the following meme: James has such an amazing voice, he can take you from flirty, seductive, spiritual, comforting, and fun just by the range of his tones.
