I Prevail and Halestorm release explosive new collaborative track

June 6, 2024

Halestorm and I Prevail will be heading out on the “can’t miss” tour of the summer. Ahead of the tour, they have released an explosive new track, can you see me in the dark? Vanlerberghe comments, “We’re excited to finally have a song come out. It was a fun challenge to blend the Halestorm and I Prevail sounds together. We really focused on creating a music bed that felt very much I Prevail and letting Lzzy just shine and do what she does best. I feel we found a very sick way to blend the two identities of our bands into one massive song. I’m really looking forward to this tour and possibly playing this song live together for everyone.“ Hale shares, “In celebration of our upcoming tour together, we joined forces with the boys of I Prevail and wrote an original song together. “can u see me in the dark?’ is written for our collective fan bases, our community, our family. Ida Mae releases new single, Tomorrow’s Just Too Far

June 7, 2024

British duo Ida Mae have just released their new single, Tomorrow’s Just Too Far. The new single was co-produced by Bob Mackenzie and Ida Mae’s Chris Turpin and features bassist Nick Pini (Laura Marling, Tom Jones) and drummer Mikey Sorbello. Chris Turpin comments, “This is a ‘get out and run’ song. I wanted it to have the guttural voice of an old country blues song, the yodel of an old Guthrie or Rodger’s tune, tied up in the vernacular or an old English folk ballad. Picking up these threads I wrote it late at night in streams of consciousness on my Steel National Resonator Guitar. It was written at an incredibly important moment. We had a major sea change in our lives. Our young daughter had become a toddler having taken her across America and Europe on tour and new musical and business projects loomed on the horizon. All this whilst dealing with some of the trauma of my early life. I had dived deeper into older folk ballads and stories to find solace and fresh meaning. Drawing parallels with great folk [Read More]

We’d describe it, but you’re better off just watching it…   Now That’s What I Call Fantastic Cat has earned early praise everywhere from Rolling Stone (who called it “gloriously fun” and “a breath of fresh air”) to Q (who hailed its “beautiful harmonies” and “honky tonk Americana storytelling”). Magnet Magazine, meanwhile, declared the band’s bio “essentially useless,” which is totally fair, so here’s a quick primer if you’re new: Featuring four different instrument-swapping singer/songwriters who’ve appeared everywhere from NPR’s Tiny Desk and the New York Times to Bonnaroo and Cayamo, Fantastic Cat—lead singer Brian Dunne, lead singer Anthony D’Amato, lead singer Don [Read More]
