Aussie rockers Hands Like Houses are set to release their long awaited third studio album, Dissonants on February 26th through Rise Records. The album will definitely capture the attention of music fans, both old and new. They have successfully released a full bodied album that brings to life their vibrant sound with songs that crowds can sing along, embrace and make their own.

Dissonants starts right off with the in your face anthem, I AM. It is the perfect amount of punch to draw the listener in to the musical gem that awaits them. You can’t deny the depth of emotion that Trenton brings to life as he balances self confidence and rage in the declaration of I AM and walks you into the edgy Perspectives.

Colourblind had me hooked from the first time I heard it and their video truly captured their message of seeing the bigger picture and breaking the ties that limit us. Check out their video for it here:

New Romantics delivers swirling guitars, powerful vocals and you can really appreciate the dynamics that they have brought into their new album. Glasshouse is one of my personal favorites. The haunting intro guides you right up into a fierce build up that is met with the beauty of emotionally driven lyrics and sets you on a wild ride of intensity and emotion. I love the guitars on this track, they have such an edge and are bad ass.

Stillwater captures an edge of innocence that has you not only looking back but looking ahead to what is possible. It is a compelling stand out track. Motion Sickness kicks off with a nostalgic synth intro and careens you into a flood of energy as the world spins around, all the while you remain standing still and feeling your connection to the music.

Degrees of Separation delivers an intense energy which is prevalent throughout the album, yet highlighted in this track. This album brings out emotion, yet in a positive look to the sky manner. As opposed to the brooding emotion that is so rampant on the music scene now. You can’t help but fall in love with this album, from start to finish. Whether you are a long time fan or a first time listener, you will soon be hooked and part of the Hands Like Houses family.

The album finishes off with Bloodlines and is another one of my personal favorites. It has such an honest, organic style that captures the essence of the band. They are what they sing, their music is their honest emotions coming to life and they successfully create a deep connection with the listener. Bloodlines wraps it up with a fervor that captures the passion by this talented band. Truly a phenomenal album.

Make sure to visit their social media sites and stay up to date on their latest news.
