I am the Rockin’ Ryan and if you are into rock and roll, I am sure you have heard of me by now! If not, well here I am, all about Rock and Roll.
I started playing guitars when I was 7 years old, then went on to drums, bass and keyboards and then moved into photography. With my personal experience in music, it has provided me with the insight of capturing musicians at their best through my photography.
In addition to being co-owner of Music Junkie Press and handling their live show review and concert photography, I also do freelance photography and I am the House Photographer at one of the top venues in the Bay Area, the Rock Star University House of Rock here in Santa Rosa, CA.

One of my strong points is time management. I understand that time is important for an artist and I feel that I can capture the right photos in a minimal amount of time. I have garnered high praise for my 7 minute photo shoots of bands prior to them taking the stage.
I strive on capturing a photo that is complimentary to the artist and accentuating their assets, not focusing on “just another clean shot”.
I also have experience in behind the scenes photography, music video production, product photography and product ad placement on social media.

Following our recent coverage of Overtime and the excitement surrounding her upcoming EP Still Here, we had the chance to interview Jody and talk about her songwriting process, the stories behind the music, and where she’s at creatively as she prepares for this next chapter. * * * INTERVIEW * * * “Overtime” feels incredibly honest and emotionally grounded. It was January in Vancouver, BC which is a very cold and dark time of year. I was feeling isolated and alone, and wasn’t connecting with the people in my life. But when I started to explore the “what’s [Read More]
