Defences announce new album and share new single “False Gods”

Hertfordshire based Alternative-Metal band Defences announce their new album “In The Balance”, which will be released October 15th, 2021. The band also revealed the rough, beautiful and confrontative new single “False Gods”. “In The Balance” is a snapshot of experiences, that Cherry Duesbury made over the last years. She looks at the unavoidable difficulties of a global pandemic as well as different cultural key events. “We wrote this because we had to”, Cherry explains. “In The Balance” is the result of the search of Defences for hope in the harsh realities of life, which they approach head-on, to find positivity.  “A great amount of the lyrics are based on inner fights”, co-vocalist William Alex Young explains. The new video for Gainesville by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers truly takes you back in time

Earlier this week the video for Gainesville, a previously unreleased song on the Tom Petty career-spanning box set An American Treasure—was released.  It is an amazing track and the nostalgic video takes you back in time. “Gainesville” was recorded in 1998 during Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers’ Echo sessions, and the video was directed by Brantley Gutierrez and produced by Michael W.
