August 15, 2023

Get ready to have your Fall turn into a Rock n Roll Dream as Dirty Honey announce tour dates for the “Can’t Find the Brakes Tour”,  named after their upcoming album. The tour will kick off right in San Francisco at the Regency Ballroom. I can tell you that you don’t want to miss this as the band always delivers 100% nonstop ROCK! Check out the tour news below: On this tour, vocalist Marc LaBelle, guitarist John Notto, and bassist Justin Smolian will introduce North America to Dirty Honey’s new drummer, Jaydon Bean, a long-time friend of the band’s who came on board this past January, just before the band’s first massive ’23 UK/European headline tour launched. In its review of Dirty Honey’s Manchester tour stop in January, the UK’s Rock at Night wrote, “It’s difficult to believe that drummer Jaydon Bean appeared live with the band for the first time only a few days earlier. His high-quality playing and jovial on-stage persona blends well with his bandmates.”   Just before the Fall headline tour kick-off, Dirty Honey will play a handful of major U.S. rock festivals [Read More]

Asking Alexandria release first single “Psycho” off upcoming album

June 16, 2023

I can still remember the first time seeing Asking Alexandria perform live.  We had been following them for a while and couldn’t wait for them to play in the Bay Area in San Jose, CA in December 2011 on the tour with Avenged Sevenfold.  We have loved seeing this band evolve and their music hit new levels with each album.  Well they are set to release their eighth full-length studio album WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE? this fall via Better Noise Music. The music scene has never felt so alive!   They have recently released their latest single, Psycho and you are going to love it. Ben Bruce comments on the song, ‘Psycho’ is one of those songs that is talking about when you feel trapped inside your own head, trapped by your own vices and your own downfalls. Whether it’s being stuck in a relationship that doesn’t work for you, or feeling like you can’t stop drinking or doing drugs, or maybe you’re stuck in a job that you hate, and you’re [Read More]

Pierce the Veil release their new album, The Jaws of Life

February 9, 2023

Happy Birthday to me as I enjoy the new album from Pierce the Veil.  The Jaws of Life is out now and it highlights how much the band has evolved. The album is full of raw emotion and painstaking honesty. The album was produced by Paul Meany (Twenty One Pilots, Mutemath, The Blue Stones), and mixed by Adam Hawkins (Machine Gun Kelly, Turnstile, Twenty One Pilots). Fuentes comments about the new album,  “This album has truly brought us closer than we’ve ever been. It was extremely difficult for us to be off the road and apart for so long. We’ve never missed anything more than playing music together and never had such a strong appreciation for recording, touring, and simply being in the same room together than we do now. The Jaws of Life is about how life can sink its teeth into you and try to devour you. The negativity in the world and within your mind can be a vicious thing. We’re extremely grateful for this record, our fans, and the opportunity to [Read More]

Nova Twins release new single “Cleopatra”

March 16, 2022

Today, genre-bending heavy alt-rock duo Nova Twins (guitarist/vocalist Amy Love and bassist Georgia South) have released their new single “Cleopatra”, an electro-rock rush of intent that sees these fierce ladies declare: “Wouldn’t wanna be anyone but me – I’m the fucking queen”. It’s a blast of confidence born of social unrest and a standout track at the band’s recent sold-out shows. The track is the latest single off their upcoming album “Supernova”, due out June 17th via Marshall Records. “‘Cleopatra’ was written off the back of the Black Lives Matter protests. Attending them made us feel powerful as two mixed-race women in an era where people were suddenly waking up to Anti Racists conversations”, says Love. “It’s about celebrating who we are and being proud of where we come from. We hope this song encourages people from all walks of life to act and feel the same way too”. 2022 has already been a landmark year for Nova Twins. Kicking things off with a fully sold-out UK tour to receiving two nominations at the NME [Read More]

Moon Tooth set release date for their new album – new single “Carry Me Home” out today!

February 3, 2022

Moon Tooth, the Long Island-based four-piece who have wowed fans and critics alike, leading Rolling Stone to say: “not since the early days of the Mars Volta has a rock band managed to sound so wildly adventurous”, return with one of the year’s most eagerly-awaited rock albums: “Phototroph”, out May 13th, via Pure Noise Records. “The theme of plants growing towards the light was just something I kept coming back to in different songs” explains Moon Tooth singer John Carbone on the impetus for the album title. “Our previous record, Crux, was like a crossroads and was dealing with a lot of negative shit. Phototroph is about walking from the middle and picking a road that goes onward and upward on a brighter path”. News of the Josh Wilbur (Lamb of God, Quicksand, Dillinger Escape Plan) produced album is accompanied by the release of “Carry Me Home” and a hilariously, campy Tom Flynn-directed video. Guitar player Nick Lee provides insight into the track: “I really wanted to go all the way Allman Brothers or Hendrix [Read More]

Circa Survive announce new EP and share new single “Imposter Syndrome”

October 12, 2021

Circa Survive surprisingly announced their upcoming new EP “A Dream About Love”, which will be released October 22nd via Rise Records/BMG. Produced by Will Yip (Turnstile, Quicksand, Turnover), the single and the EP mark a new beginning soundwise for the band, which continues to explore its limits. Along with the EP announcement, the band also shared a new song, “Imposter Syndrome”. “This was the last song I wrote before I went to rehab two years ago. The song is about forgiveness and responsibility and represents the feeling of a new start for me”, says singer Anthony Green about the new single. “To discard the blueprints and in every aspect of our life to start new from the scratch.” “A Dream About Love” is the first project of the band since their 2017 album “The Amulet”, which debuted number 16 on the billboard 200. About Circa Survive Whether intentional or not, Philadelphia’s Circa Survive have become experts on that critical second word of their band name.
