My Life With Thrill Kill Kult returns to a packed house at the DNA Lounge!

July 2, 2014

If you have ever been inside the pizza parlor of the DNA Lounge, you may have noticed all the cool concert posters of bands who have graced the stages of the DNA Lounge. You might even see the four or five My Life With Thrill Kill Kult posters there. The DNA has a long history in San Francisco and I can remember spending many late nights in the late 80’s and 90’s. It has since become one of the favored venues by artists to perform. We were excited to catch the return of My Life With Thrill Kill Kult as they made a stop in San Francisco for their “Spooky Tricks” Tour in support of their new album of the same title. It was an awesome night that started off with a spectacular set by San Jose symphonic metal band, Retconstruct. You can read more about Retconstruct here. Then there was a set by DJ Toxic Rainbow to get everyone in the dancing mood. Then as My Life With Thrill Kill Kult took to the [Read More]

Get ready to rock! CIMINO release new video for Animal

June 11, 2014

Hard rockers, CIMINO have been one of my favorite new bands. Their sound is one thing…. straight up rock n roll. No blurring of the lines of genres, no trying to reinvent the wheel, stray from their roots or any of that. This powerhouse rock band just wants to ROCK and that is exactly what I love about them. They bring such a truth into their music and along with their well crafted rock songs, you are immediately drawn in. They have just released a video for their second single, Animal which is off their amazing new album, Angels and Animals. The video was shot at Rocketbox Studios in Kansas City and directed and produced by Brad Austin. It has a raw in your face feel that highlights the honesty in this band, not a glitzy overdone Hollywood style which is overused in today’s scene. “We shot in mainly black and white for the same, raw feeling, similar to the album cover and material as a whole,” the band says. “The tune “Animal” is really up [Read More]
