Many fans have counted down the days to the Houston Open Air Festival which was held this past weekend. Due to dangerous storm systems in the area, festival producers reluctantly were forced to cancel the second day of the festival. We know that many fans were disappointed to not see the bands perform, but their safety as well as the bands, vendors, etc is top priority. Texas Showdown Tattoo and Music Festival with Deftones, Drowning Pool, Wu Tang Clan and More!

Tattoos and Live Music? Now that is a festival I can get my hands around! The Texas Showdown Festival is the country’s largest tattoo and music festival and it is returning to El Paso Coliseum next month for three days of tattooing, music, sideshows and more. The dates have been set for July 18th – 20th and will feature over 300 tattoo artists from around the globe including celebrity artists from popular TV tattoo shows. Deftones pay tribute to Chi Cheng on the one year anniversary of his death by releasing song, Smile

Deftones pay tribute to their late bassist, Chi Cheng on the one year anniversary of his death. Chi passed away on April 13th after a car accident in 2008 that left him in a coma for the past four and a half years. Today they released the song, Smile which was off their album Eros which they were finishing up work on at the time of Chi’s accident back on November 4th, 2008. The album was shelved and they then began work on their album Diamond Eyes with bassist Sergio Vega.
