Atreyu ready to take over DNA Lounge on Thursday night!

December 16, 2015

We all know what a hard working band Atreyu is and how much they love their fans! Well they are proving it once more as they gear up to raise the roof of the DNA Lounge in San Francisco this Thursday night.  They were originally scheduled to perform at The Warfield with Falling In Reverse on the Christmas Vacation Tour but when that show was cancelled, they were not going to sit around for an off day! They were quick to get a replacement show in the works and they will be playing along with the bad ass From Ashes To New and Assuming We Survive. Please note Falling In Reverse will not be performing at this show. Here is the post from their Facebook Page: Important Info for San Francisco Christmas vacation tour this Thursday. Falling in reverse is dropping off the show. The rest of us are gonna kick some ass at the dna lounge. Unfortunately the warfield and Dna lounge are not related. If you bought a ticket for the Warfeild you [Read More]

The Black Dahlia Murder at DNA Lounge in San Francisco, Concert Review by Tiburon

December 12, 2015

The Black Dahlia murder has been around as long as I have been rocking out, I have always been a fan of their music, and have been lucky enough to witness them live multiple times; this being the first time photographing them as a photographer as well as a huge fan. The opening acts leading to The Black Dahlia Murder were Artificial Brain, Entheos, Iron Reagan, and Goatwhore. Walking into the DNA lounge in San Francisco for the first time was slightly overwhelming; the venue is build like a post apocalyptic mad max style de facto music venue when not used for mortal combat. The first floor is rather simple, an ample stage with plenty of room to mosh, crowd surf, and a chill area away from the rowdiness. The upstairs has this Rust-oleum red primer painted rail that hangs towards the downstairs at an angle for better viewing that makes it feel like they are spectators awaiting to give us the all too dramatic thumbs down kill approval.   I got there as Entheos [Read More]

Barb Wire Dolls blow the roof of DNA Lounge with their recent performance in SF.

December 7, 2015

The bad ass punk rockers Barb Wire Dolls are just about to perform their last show in USA tomorrow night at the legendary Whisky A GoGo. They will be heading back to Greece to work on new music for 2016.  We were so glad we had the chance to catch them Friday night at the Above DNA Lounge in San Francisco. We were not going to miss them and made sure we arrived early to catch all the opening bands. The night kicked off with a highly energetic punk infused rock set by Year of The Fist. They are from Oakland and I look forward to catching them again. They started the night off with fierce energy! Next up was a Bay Area band that I have been waiting to see, Modern Kicks. These young guys brought the rock and roll spirit to the crowd with a much needed dose of old school rock and punk attitude. Hold on tight, they are ready to take you for a wild ride. The night continued on with a [Read More]

Chat with John 5 as he returns to San Francisco for the Mad Monster Tour 2015

November 13, 2015

Earlier this week, John 5 returned to the DNA Lounge as he brought the Mad Monster Tour to San Francisco with Doyle. It was an incredible night for music lovers! The night kicked off with a high energy set by local faves, The Vile Augury. Doyle came out next with a one hour set of new Doyle music and Misfits classics. We will be bringing more from both of those sets later this weekend. We were glad to catch up with John 5 before his set in San Francisco and talk about what is next for him and his busy schedule. Check out our interview here: John 5 and the Creatures hit the stage and the crowd went wild. We were all in awe of John’s extraordinary flawless playing as he demonstated just about every guitar technique you could think of. It was incredible and one of the most amazing instrumental sets I have witnessed! Absolutely epic performance from John 5 & The Creatures.  His set which was rich in diversity and included all types [Read More]
