Chandler Juliet bares her soul as she releases empowering new track Coming Down

March 17, 2018

One of our favorite vocalists Chandler Juliet continues to deliver infectious new music. Her latest track Coming Down, might take on a dark persona but it carries a great message of empowerment. Chandler released the song yesterday and she comments,   Coming Down is HERE!!!!!! I wrote this song right after getting out of a really tough time in my life. This song has the theme of addiction, and I wrote it about the struggle of being addicted to something you know is toxic for you. We all know what it’s like to be in that position, but when you recognize it, and say, “I’m done” or “I’ve had enough” or “I’m better than this” is the first step. And that takes SOOO much strength. My addiction was to a relationship, with someone who made me fall out of love with myself. When I got out this incredibly toxic relationship, knew I’d had enough, I wrote this song. The song kinda sounds dark but it’s meant to be empowering!! Because it takes immense strength to [Read More]

Interview with our BottleRock Napa Spotlight Band: New Politics at their Fillmore headlining show

March 16, 2018

One thing is certain, New Politics are the must-see band of this year’s BottleRock Napa Festival. From the moment we heard they would be on the lineup, we were excited for everyone to catch their performance. It was nearly eight years ago when I was first introduced to New Politics. They were an opening band for The Spill Canvas at Slim’s in San Francisco and ten seconds into their set, we were blown away. They gave us a performance that raised the hairs on our neck, full on non-stop energy and intensity.  Fast forward to 2018 and New Politics still succeed at delivering that level of intensity and magic on stage. We recently caught their return performance at the legendary Fillmore for their headlining tour in support of their new album, Lost In Translation. It was another magical evening as their stage presence electrifies the crowd and everyone is instantly infused with bliss. Check out some photos from their set by our Rockin Ryan: Need more New Politics, check out our slideshow: The Lost In [Read More]

Interview with Dree Mon: sassy and ironic and hard to miss. By Patrick O’Heffernan

March 15, 2018

Patrick O’Heffernan (Los Angeles) Dree Mon has a unique talent for making people feel good with her videos and her music. She is kinda’ funky, kinda’ rocky, kinda’ silly, and kinda’ really incisive – and always a lot of fun.  She has been called the sardonic valley-girl love-child of David Bowie and Wonder Woman, which does not mean that she isn’t a prolific talent. That she most certainly is. In addition to racking up a shelf full of awards,  her debut song Rebel Soul will be in the upcoming Netflix film  “High Strung: Free Dance”,  plus she also has songs in the TV shows Parenthood and White Collar, as well and films and web series. Her new single No Chill, was just released.  Not a bad record for a woman whose career in music was an accident – literally, in a car.  We were lucky enough to snag her for a quick interview as she dropped the new single.   Patrick: Dree Mon.  Is your name an intentional play on words – dream on, [Read More]

Interview with Justin Emord of Love and a .38 at NAMM

February 2, 2018

We have so many exciting things to share with you all from our NAMM trip! Of course, it wouldn’t be NAMM without an interview with one of the hardest working musicians, Justin Emord of Love and a .38. Justin started his NAMM week off early with  NAMM’s Foundation Day of Service helping kids learn music. His band also performed at the new NAMM Arena Plaza Stage on Friday and they truly rocked the stage! Justin also gave a very informative seminar on acquiring sponsorships and he even acquired several new sponsorships himself. We had a chance to catch up with Justin and are pleased to bring you that interview here: This was quite a hard NAMM for us to cover, after losing the business and our home in the Santa Rosa fires but talking with Justin, you can’t help but feel optimistic about the future. He truly shines in his field and his passion for music is inspiring and invigorating. Thank you Justin for all that you do! We can’t wait for some new Love and [Read More]
