Five Finger Death Punch Tribute Video and Countdown to Vol. 2

November 5, 2013

First off, I may need to remind you we are 2 WEEKS away from the release of Five Finger Death Punch‘s album, “The Wrong Side of Heaven and The Righteous Side of Hell, Volume 2”. It is set for a November 19th release via Prospect Park in North America and Eleven Seven Music elsewhere. You can still pre-order your copy here. They have been garnering such great success from Volume 1 and I can’t wait to see what Volume 2 brings. They played at the Aftershock Festival in September and were absolutely amazing. At Aftershock, these guys come out with adrenaline running through their veins and they do not let up on their fierce energy. The crowd was intense and Ivan had control of them from the front of the pit to the very back of the crowd. His magnetic drew them all in as they were then treated to the spectacular guitar shredding by Jason Hook and Zoltan Bathory. But then you couldn’t help but watch the beard, the man himself, Chris Kael, bassist [Read More]

Asking Alexandria release video for “Killing You”

November 5, 2013

Today English heavy metal band, Asking Alexandria release their new video for “Killing You” Their last video for their single,  “The Death of Me” was awesome and we even had an interview with Erin Johnson, one of the women in the vending machines. You can check out that interview here. This video is much more insane and after watching, you might think they were filming a Saw sequel.  So lock up the kids and get ready for some craziness. Here you go: You can also check out another video which Rockin Ryan put together for my favorite song off their new album, “Moving On”. It includes photos and footage from their set at Aftershock Festival.  Make sure to also check their social media sites for updates on tour dates. ~ Marisol Information & Links: Website: www.askingalexandriaofficial.com  Facebook: www.facebook.com/askingalexandria Twitter: www.twitter.com/AfuckingA Danny Worsnop Twitter: www.twitter.com/Thedannyworsnop James Cassells Twitter: www.twitter.com/JamesAFuckingA Ben Bruce Twitter: www.twitter.com/BenAFuckingA Cameron Liddell Twitter: www.twitter.com/CamAFuckingA Sam Bettley Twitter: www.twitter.com/SamAFuckingA Sumerian Records Pre-Order: www.merchconnectioninc.com/collections/asking-alexandria

French Metal band DAGOBA release new video for “The Great Wonder”

October 31, 2013

I have been really digging the new music by French metal band, DAGOBA! Even though they have been around since 1997, they are finally getting the recognition and attention they deserve here in the States. They have just released their new video for “The Great Wonder” which is off of their new  LP “Post Mortem Nihil Est,” that will be available here in the US on November 5th. Check out the video:     These guys truly have a great clean Metal sound that I am really loving! They kind of remind me of a mix of Five Finger Death Punch and All that Remains. The vocals are clean and sharp, precision drumming and bad ass guitars.  DAGOBA is currently out on tour in support of DIR EN GREY and they are making a stop in San Francisco at the Regency Ballroom on November 23rd.  We will see if we can bring you an interview with this amazing metal band. DAGOBA is  Shawter on Vocals/Machines, Franky Costanza on Drums,  Zon Guitar and Werther Ytier on Bass. ~Marisol Information [Read More]

Volbeat photo and video highlights from Aftershock

October 28, 2013

Aftershock Festival was amazing with over 30+ bands in the two days and over 35,000 attendees. Many of those fans were there to see the amazing show that Volbeat put on. I have seen Volbeat five times but this was the first time that I got to see Rob Caggiano play with them. It was an awesome set and they sounded so spot on! They played my favorites Fallen, A Warrior’s Call and my new favorite, Lola Montez. I just love that song soooo much. Check out the video that Rockin Ryan made of “A Warrior’s Call” set to footage and photos from their Aftershock set. One thing is for sure, when Volbeat performs, you really feel the energy from the crowd as well as the band. They create such an intensity that you just can’t help but be drawn to them. It was great to see people who had never seen them before, enjoy the show and called it one of their Festival highlights! Make sure you have your copy of “Outlaw Gentlemen and [Read More]

HIM, another highlight from Aftershock Festival

October 24, 2013

The Aftershock Festival last month was filled with amazing artists and one of the bands that truly stood out was Finnish band, HIM.  HIM has been consistently delivering their self titled brand of music, “Love Metal” since 1991. They have had a sound that has captured audiences of all ages and genres. What was great to see at the Aftershock Festival were the expanded audience that ranged young kids to seasoned rockers. I truly can’t wait for HIM to return for another show here in  California. We had tickets to see them in Hollywood and San Francisco during their North American tour. Unfortunately they had to cancel the night of the Hollywood show due to Ville Valle’s severe asthma attack which led to pneumonia. We were actually staying at The Grafton on the Sunset Strip walking back from Soundcheck and we actually saw the ambulance that took Ville away. We are glad Ville is doing better and happy to see how strong they have come back and put on a hell of an amazing performance [Read More]
