WARBRINGER set to release new album October 15th, IV: Empires Collapse

July 31, 2013

Los Angeles based heavy Metal band, WARBRINGER have announced the release date for their release of their next masterpiece, IV: Empires Collapse. They band has been locked away for the past few months  in The Omen Room studio with producer Steve Evetts (Dillinger Escape Plan, Sepultura, Symphony X).  The release date is set for October 15th through Century Media Records. What is exciting about this album is that each of the five members brought something for the rest of the group to work on and together they challenged themselves and their abilities to combine their talents and create a combined work of art.  Carlos Cruz, drummer explained more about the recording process, “Musically, all five of us brought something for the rest of the group to work off of and we were all a part of chiseling away at the ideas”. Having five band members with eclectic tastes in music from Crust Punk to Progressive music and everything in between brought about new musical directions for the material.” Another exciting thing about this record making process is that WARBRINGER has [Read More]

Skull Jack dishing up some Heavy Metal, southern style!

July 29, 2013

When I  think of Tennessee, I tend to think of the music scene that it gives us, but most particularly country artists. After listening to Skull Jack,  I will now be grateful for the hard rock/metal scene that has developed. Skull Jack was formed in 2009 by guitarist Dale Sheppard and in the short time since, have accomplished many things. They had won Nashville’s Best New Metal Band award in 2011 and went through an almost complete lineup change. They now have a strong solid group with Eddie Walker on drums, Ryan Lessard on vocals, and Kevin Buttler on Bass. These four guys each started in music at quite a young age. Together with their combined experience have created their unique sound of hard rock, metal and a touch of Southern Rock.   After Dale and Eddie working together to write new material, what they completed is a  strong sound 3 track Demo. I  had the opportunity to listen to the demo and it completely rocks with some raging metal strewn in. The first song, [Read More]

Some Fear None, A must see band from Sacramento!

July 25, 2013

Sacramento, CA rockers, Some Fear None have a new CD out that you have to get your hands onto and your ears listening! I first saw this incredible rock band over a  years ago as they opened up for Burn Halo and Smile Empty Soul. We were blown away by the energy these rockers bring to the stage. You have powerful vocals by Nathan Giguiere, intense guitar work by Chuck Carrasco, slamming bass by Gina Salatino and pounding drums by Jason Weisker. You put these four together and you are completely captivated by their unique rock sound that blends everything from metal to alternative, to grunge and more. Their debut CD, “Break Hold and Elevate” is a work of art as you get a fusion of sounds reminiscent of early Deftones, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden as well as other bands like Three Days Grace, Seether, and more. They truly have created their own unique sound and don’t try to put themselves into any particular genre or subgenre of music. They do what they are best at, [Read More]
