Nothing More is our Monster Aftershock Featured Band of the Day

August 1, 2014

It has been awesome watching a band truly get the recognition they so well deserve. Nothing More has been one of those bands. We first discovered Nothing More a couple years back and from the first time I saw their live footage videos, I was amazed at how come I didn’t learn of these fantastic musicians sooner! Last year, Nothing More performed at Aftershock Festival, not once but twice! They were the only band to play both days, first during their regular scheduled slot on the side stages and then on the second day they were invited to play the big stage which they took over and dominated. Check out our coverage from last year’s show: Nothing More at Aftershock 2013. Well, a lot has happened in the last year. Last year the unsigned band were really getting noticed and now they are signed to Seven Eleven Music and have had great success with the release of their self titled full length album available on iTunes here. They have toured extensively and everywhere they [Read More]

If you have not seen them perform yet, do whatever you can to make sure you get yourself to a show. We recently caught BLS when they came into San Francisco for the Revolver Golden Gods Tour and it was unbelievable. Eyes Set To Kill is our Monster Energy Aftershock Featured Band of the Day

July 30, 2014

Today our Monster Aftershock Festival Featured Band of the Day goes to Eyes Set To Kill. If you are not familiar with them, first… shame on you! second, let me tell you about this great band. These three have such passion for their music and it shines through each and every song. Their hard rock/metal music has been capturing everyone’s attention for years. They are not a new band, they may be young but you might be surprised to know that they have over a 10 year history. Though they have had many line up changes, I feel that today they shine as a solid band and the founding members, sisters Anissa and Alexia along with long time member Caleb are strong and tight which is displayed when they perform. They have an incredible stage presence and I can’t wait for everyone at Aftershock to see how bad ass Eyes Set To Kill are.  They have been touring extensively in support of their highly praised album, Masks which was released last year through Century Media Records. Our Monster Energy Aftershock Featured Band of the Day is Weezer

July 17, 2014

Today Music Junkie Press starts our Aftershock Featured Band of the Day. Every day  we will be put the spotlight on one of the many awesome bands that will be performing at California’s BEST festival Monster Energy Aftershock. The Monster Energy Aftershock Festival be held on the weekend of September 13th & 14th.  Today our spotlight is on the awesome band of Weezer. I think I first fell in love with Weezer and their catchy alternative rock music back in early 90’s since the release of The Blue Album. I knew back then that they were waking up the pop and rock scene by breathing this fresh vibrant life into what was the decade of dance/electronic music and grunge. They were then what you might call today, pop punk or power pop. They had and still continue to have a vibrant charismatic sound that is synonymous with FUN. We recently caught Weezer perform at Napa’s Bottle Rock and they truly were the highlight of the day! Check out our coverage from that set here. Band Members: [Read More]
