Xander and The Peace Pirates…the highlight of CES 2014!

Today is the last day of the CES 2014 Convention being held in Las Vegas, Nevada. The CES highlights and covers every aspect of the consumer technology industry. Not only do you get to check out all the latest and greatest in consumer electronics but you may be treated to some fantastic musicians. This year Gibson Guitars unveiled the Double Diamond Line which is built with real diamonds. Dj Ashba made an appearance to talk about his new signature Les Paul which comes out in March. One of the top highlights of CES this year goes to an incredible band from Liverpool, Xander and The Peace Pirates! Here we go on Day 5 of the 12 Days of Guitarists and we are pleased to bring you shredder extraordinaire Xander Demos! Xander is one shredder that will have you in awe of his playing. He is incredible at his craft as his fingers sweep his guitar. Check out his song “White Knuckle Driving” from his CD “Guitarcadia“, that one just blows me away every time! Today we are at #8 on the countdown of 14 bands that will rule in 2014. We are pleased to bring you While She Waits, a Hard Rock Rock band with some Southern flare from Phoenix, Arizona that are rapidly gaining attention in the music scene. They have been signed to TMG Records and are currently working on their next album. 2013 has brought them a lot of much deserved attention. With their Southern Rock sound that rumbles in like a rock n roll freight train, you just have to hop on board and enjoy While She Waits. Sara Skinner rocks you with her angelic voice!

Sara Skinner WOW! Amazing voice that just embraces your soul. Truly the work of an angel. That is how I can describe this next artist. I have to tell you about an unbelievable new artist that I am looking forward to seeing at NAMM at the Lampifier Microphone booth next week. That incredible voice belongs to beautiful and talented, Sara Skinner. I first heard about Sara and was asked to check out one of her cover songs that she does on her Youtube channel. She actually sings live on her videos but also has her original work. I didn’t get the chance to watch the covers, then I got asked to watch her video for her release of her original song, “Break”. After the first second of hearing her voice, I was just captivated. She has such a smooth voice with mysterious edges that just leave you longing for more. Haunted by Heroes heading back to the Whiskey for CD Release Party!

With NAMM being almost a week away, I need to tell you about another band that will be playing at the Whiskey during NAMM week. Haunted by Heroes are known as the World’s Youngest Rock Band and these kids will be rocking the Whiskey on January 25th opening for Uli Jon Roth (Scorpions) & Warren DeMartini (RATT). What an incredible talent these boys have and they haven’t even hit their teen years yet! I actually saw them play last year at NAMM and was blown away by their energy at their young ages. If you closed your eyes when you listened to them, you would have never imagined that the great rock and roll was coming from a group of 12 year olds! At the time, I didn’t know where they were from but I did hear a lot of buzz about these kids. I was even more surprised to find out they were also from the Bay Area. As you may already know we are heading out to NAMM in Anaheim in just a couple weeks. Besides getting to check out the latest in music gear as well as get to see and talk to so many interesting musicians, I always look forward to what the nightlife brings during NAMM week. Every year, in addition to the long days at the Anaheim Convention Center there is a multitude of great bands playing throughout the Southern California area and all are hoping that you get to check them out. I have so many shows planned to cover for that week and I just recently added another one to my schedule. After listening to them I had to fit them in!
