Check out the new video for River from Austin rockers; The Vanity

May 5, 2015

Austin rockers The Vanity have been successfully garnering a lot of great attention for their infectious punk southern rock infused music. They literally bring a fusion of musical influences together and will have you hooked. They are premiering their video for their new song, River which is off debut three song EP Strangers which is available on iTunes, Google Play,Amazon and Spotify. It is a great new track and the story behind the video location is also interesting. Frontman Alex Dugan explains, “In the end we decided to do what we do best–we found a cool spot that we liked and shot it live. We set up in the basement of this historic 150-year-old building here in Austin. The basement allegedly used to be where they kept the gold during the Texas Constitution, I’ve also heard it was used to be a brothel in the 1800’s, but now it’s this super awesome Indian restaurant. Austin has such crazy history if you really look hard enough.” Check out the video here: You can definitely see how [Read More]

The Cerny Brothers premiere new song, The Kid off their upcoming album; Sleeping Giant

May 5, 2015

The Cerny Brothers have successfully created a new sound for their music which originally was acoustic, folk elements to a more electric rock style.  All the while, they have captured their folk spirit as it fits so well with their new music. They are premiering a new song, The Kid which is off their upcoming album, Sleeping Giant. Robert Cerny explains about the song, “This is a song about remembering who you are, how you grew up and what you were taught, and not losing sight of that in a different place with different people. It’s also about the strange notion of struggle, and that a lot of people don’t like to confront it, especially in a professional sense.  I felt like as a band we were supposed to go to meetings with people who wanted to work with us, look nice and pretend that the journey that got us in a that business meeting in the first place was easy.  But it was hard.  It all wraps up in the idea that I came [Read More]

May 5, 2015

We recently featured Singer/songwriter Franki Love and her amazing song Walking Wounded. Today we would like to premiere another incredible song from Franki called Lullaby.  As I have said before, Franki so easily captures emotion when she performs and is like a touch of angelic bliss. In this song, the raw honesty pours out in a flood of warmth and delivers a much needed pause to reflect and appreciate love. Truly amazing and quite an inspiration.  Franki comments about the inspiration behind Lullaby, “The inspiration of the song is eternal love. It’s about love that lasts for infinity and is the most unconditional love you could ever imagine having with another human being. “ Check out the song here:   You can truly feel the emotion in this song and we asked Franki about the emotion when she is recording and she explains, “Recording ‘Lullaby’ was an interesting and eye opening experience.  I created a demo to send to the producer I was working with and recorded the vocal and piano in one live take.
