Vans Warped Tour has been going strong and delivering an array of awesome music for the past twenty years. Summer wouldn’t be summer without enjoying Warped Tour. We recently covered two of the California dates and have been enjoying so many of the bad ass bands. One of our Warped Tour highlights is The Word Alive. The Word Alive deliver a set that is fueled with energy from start to finish. Their modern heavy music has gained them a strong and dedicated fan base. When you catch their set, you will know what I am talking about. You can’t help but be mesmerized by their intensity and musicianship. They are one set you don’t want to miss. Letters to the Universe wants you to know that your voice matters!

When we were at the Shoreline date of Warped Tour this past month, one of the booths we were excited to stop by was the social art project Letters To The Universe. They have been spreading the word that everyone’s voice matters and deserves to be heard. In a time where, social interaction typically means texting, emailing, liking posts, etc we seem to forget to listen to the most important voice; our own. The simple act of writing out your message, hopes, wishes, dreams can be so rewarding. It gives a value to your voice and in turn a value to yourself. Letters to the Universe is doing just that, one letter at a time and maybe you might even get to put on some wings. I love the variety of music that Vans Warped Tour brings out. Where else can you go from an EDM band to an acoustic set and then head right into the circle pit? At this year’s Warped Tour, that’s where! If you have been craving a heavy dose of hardcore and need your fix for a circle pit, make sure to check out Terror. The long established band, Terror from Los Angeles have been delivering fierce hardcore music since 2002 and in no way has let up on their unrelenting energetic sets. Interview with Captain Capa and catch them at the Beatport stage on Warped Tour!

We had recently told you about one of our Warped Tour highlights, Captain Capa from Germany. They returned to perform all summer long on the Vans Warped Tour. Their great electronic infused music had everyone dancing and having a lot of fun. We were glad to catch them for a quick interview on our second day of Warped Tour coverage in Wheatland, CA. Get ready for the final album by Anberlin and make sure to catch them on Warped Tour

We were so excited to catch Anberlin when we covered the Warped Tour Bay Area dates last month. They always deliver an intense set that has you on your feet the entire time. They had mentioned during the set that their upcoming album would be there last and that they would no longer be a band after. It was heartbreaking to hear but it had us enjoy their set even more. They are set to release their new album lowborn on July 22nd via Tooth & Nail Records and follow it up with a farewell world tour. Here are some photos from their Warped Tour set: This album brings Anberlin full circle as lowbornwill be released on Tooth & Nail, the first record label to which Anberlin was signed. Instead of recording the album together, the musicians did their parts with separate producers they each selected. Survive This! is a set not to be missed on Vans Warped Tour!

This past Saturday we were at the Mountain View date for Vans Warped Tour. So many great bands, so many stages, and so many decisions to be made! One thing is for sure before you arrive at Warped Tour write down your list of Must See Bands and then make sure to walk around and try to get to as many other stages as possible. You really may be missing some of the highlights of Warped Tour and possibly your new favorite band. One band that I hope you have on your Must See list is Survive This! We saw them earlier this year when they opened for Falling in Reverse on the Bury The Hatchet tour.
