On the 8th day of Christmas my Rock and Roll love gave to me some Guilty Pleasure by Gone For Days. I have been enjoying the rockin’ sound from this four piece band for the past year. If you have not heard of them, well you are just plain missing out. They are one of the bands that I first heard of through Octane Channel on Sirius Radio. I tend to get a long of my new finds from their late night radio play and it is great to see the song’s get increased airplay as the weeks go by and climb up the charts on the Octane Big ‘Uns Countdown and request charts.

They have a sound that resonates Hard Rock with touches of Southern Rock and mixed in with emotionally driven vocals. If you like Black Stone Cherry, Hinder or Three Days Grace these guys are going to be right up your alley. They give you a little of everything. You will get driving guitars, soul touching lyrics, aggressive drums and smooth groovin’ basslines. When you listen to them, it is hard to stand still. The music just enters you and touches your soul and you just can’t help but smile and move! I swear the first time I listened to Gone For Days I got chills, it reminded me the first time I listened to Jason Ross of Seven Mary Three and just fell in love with that voice!

Who is Gone for Days? Well it you have Chris Taylor on the driving vocals, Jesse Hatch on the smoking guitars, Chris Dickman killin it on his bass and Justin Pacy hard and heavy on the drums. Put them all together and you have created the incredible successful sound of Gone For Days. It is no surprise that they were the local winners of the 2012 Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival for Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands. These guys just rock. Here is the song “Guilty Pleasure”
