Electronic rock duo Bullet Height release alternative version of Bastion

May 8, 2017

Berlin based electronic rock duo Bullet Height  features Sammi Doll of IAMX and Jon Courtney of Pure Reason Revolution. They have released an alternative version of their track Bastion. Commenting on the thought process behind the new version, front woman Sammi Doll explained: “The idea to revisit Bastion stemmed from wanting to take a more stripped down approach that would be easy to recreate in a more acoustic environment. What came of it was a slower, more sultry take on the full version that unveiled a different side to Bullet Height. We hope to do more of these reinventions in the future.” Check out the track here: The album version of “Bastion” is available as an instant download with digital pre-orders of Bullet Height‘s explosive debut album, No Atonement, set for release on May 19, 2017 via Superball Music (Century Label Group/Sony). No Atonement features 10 tracks that fuse together industrialized electronica, dark avant-garde, heavy guitars, and heartbreakingly sweet melodies. “Bastion“, “Hold Together,” and “Wild Words” are available as instant downloads when fans pre-order the album. Modern rockers See This Through release soul-bearing video for their track On My Own

May 8, 2017

Modern rockers See This Through truly caught my attention with their new video. They just released their video for their track On My Own and it is amazing. It is not only personal and soul-bearing, but along with the honest emotions it brings about hope and empowerment through a dark time. The song describes a dark time in vocalist, Nick Blohm‘s life, saying: “‘On My Own’ contains the most honest lyrics that I’ve ever written. It’s a result of many life-changing events and it took a long time for me to sort my thoughts to deal with all that happened. The song is incredibly personal for me. We all shared a vision for the video, as it’s just as personal for everyone in the band as it is for me. It needed to be dark and full of emotion. It needed to be a bit claustrophobic. It needed to tell a story, just like the song. I think we accomplished that.” Check out the video here: See This Through highlight emotionally driven and meaningful lyrics wrapped in [Read More]

It features Jonathan Davis of Korn, a band that Motionless In White already toured with and counts as one of their favorite bands. There’s also a sequel to the song ‘Dead As F**k’ from their last record ‘Reincarnate’. It’s called ‘Not My Type: Dead As F**k 2’. Revolutionary Soul: Derek Davis releases a work of genius for his first every solo album.

May 6, 2017

Patrick O’Heffernan It is not often that I encounter an artist that I can’t quite categorize, or even want to. Derek Davis is such an artist.  With 28 years of recording and touring, 12 albums, and three bands,  he is a legend in rock.   Who can forget the machine-gun tempo of  Bad Man Cometh, the howling metal message of American Jihad or the addictive head banging of Love Star. But at the same time, where do you put the sweet melody of Troubadour and or the acoustic pop sensibilities of  The Promise – all songs on the same album.  Davis is a remarkable musician and his first solo album, Revolutionary Soul  continues his tradition of  remarkable, not-quite-categorizable music.   In Revolutionary Soul, Davis writes the music, plays all the instruments and produces most of the songs, further breaking the category boundaries.  It’s blues, it’s rock, it’s funk –  is it something that incorporates and transcends all of the above.  And it is addictive.   Davis is famous for his sharp writing and signature guitar [Read More]
