A sweeping experimental sci-fi-folk album, Afterglades is a meditation on the end of the world—and what it means to face it alongside the people you love. Alongside the announcement, Meikle shares the album’s third single, “A Scourge Laid Upon The Earth,” following previously released tracks “Happiness in the Singularity” and “Honeyhaze.” As the closing chapter in Afterglades’ narrative arc—a sci-fi exploration of a future where human society has collapsed—the track channels the cinematic weight of a final act in a survival epic.
