SWITCHBLADE-SERENADE-TATTOO

One of our favorite rock bands,  Switchblade Serenade have announced several upcoming shows. We have featured Switchblade Serenade several times on Music Junkie Press and were also one of our Top 12 Bands You Have to Know.  If you are lucky enough to be in the East Coast area, I would suggest you drive, fly, walk or crawl your way to one of their shows. These young rockers are all about delivering full energetic rock with bad ass choruses, amazing guitar work and a hell of a fun time.  Check out the upcoming shows planned for Switchblade Serenade:

  • April 18th, Queens NY at Gussy’s
  • May 3rd, New Haven, CT at Cafe Nine with Prophets of Addiction
  • May 10th, Bristols CT at Bleachersew album

More dates are soon to be announced. If you haven’t heard of Switchblade Serenade then you best head over and pick up their new CD “Alive at Night”  which is available on Itunes here. HOT DAMN! It was definitely an album worth waiting for. It is a complete full on ROCK n ROLL  album that will soon become one of your favorites. Alive at Night” was produced, mixed, and mastered by Nick Bellmore (Drummer of Toxic Holocaust and Kingdom Of Sorrow) at Dexter’s Lab Recording Studio  The first song is the title track, “Alive at Night” and starts right off with their energetic rock, bad ass chorus and amazing guitar work. It is a great anthemic rock song. Check it out here set to photos and footage by Rockin Ryan of Switchblade Serenade from their trip to NAMM 2014 and Hollywood:

This album is definitely one of your MUST HAVES! One of the highlights off it is the single, “Who Are You?” Bassist Ed Mandevil told us more about the song, “The song is about asking the listener who they really are. There are so many fakes and phoneys out there and we’re a bit tire of it!”  The song has a bad ass bass intro, vocals are edgy yet mysterious, love the backing vocals, great guitar solo and rockin drums! Check out our full album review here.

We also had a chance to chat a bit with Switchblade Serenade during their NAMM visit as they were busy checking out the new gear and doing interviews. We are pleased to bring you that interview here:

Switchblade Serenade is Austin Jaser on Guitar and Lead Vocals, Luke Barone on Drums and Vocals and Ed Mandevil on Bass and Vocals.  These three young guys bring a great big sound that you have to take notice of. They are from New Haven, CT and you can definitely feel their musical influences such as Skid Row, Guns n Roses and Motley Crue come to life in their tunes. Just the other day when I was interviewing Eddie Trunk of That Metal Show, as we discussed our favorite new bands, we made sure to mention to him Switchblade Serenade! You can catch that interview here (we mention them around the 9:00  minute mark)
