This has been a busy week for Falling In Reverse  news. Yesterday they announced their upcoming tour with Escape The Fate. For details on the “Bury The Hatchet Tour” you can read more here.

We just came back from the opening night of the Falling In Reverse tour, “An Evening with Falling in Reverse, Unplugged and Uncensored”. Today was the first night of their 14 show tour and it started off at Slim’s in San Francisco.  It was hard to picture how things were going to go, being an acoustic show and with a band that has such energetic and heavy music. Well, I will tell you honestly, it went SPECTACULAR!

From the second these five guys came out on stage and until the last song, it was absolutely amazing.  The set included some Q&A time in between songs and I had wished fans would have put more thought into some of their questions. There were some  funny questions though which truly brought out all of the best of their personalities and it was nice to see them have so much fun on stage. One of my favorite questions, “What would you do for a Klondike Bar?”

Ronnie Radke is truly in a different place in his life and I absolutely admire him in so many ways. As a 45 year old, I myself have made quite a few mistakes in my time as well as have done things I am not proud of but if I could just have half as much peace as Ronnie does with his past, I would be doing pretty damn good. He truly is a sincere man with a passion for his music and you can’t help but just applaud  him and call him the true Champion.

Their set included many of my favorites, I’m Not a Vampire, SInk or Swim, Bad Girls Club, The Drug in Me is You, Drifter and they even did a spontaneous acoustic version of Champion that was purely magical.  They were all spot on and gave incredible performances. It was great to see them in this intimate environment and the energy from the crowd as well as the band, was overwhelming. You would have thought this was their 14th show, not their first show with how it went so well.

When you looked around the crowd, it was filled with all walks of life. Yes, you might suspect the audience to be filled with only young teenage girls but among that crowd were boys, men, and woman of all ages and they were singing right along to all the songs as we were. It was a very mellifluous and surreal moment.

So, if you have the opportunity get anywhere close to the one of the next 13 shows, I highly recommend it. This is one show that I hope they film for a future DVD/CD release because that would be one LIVE album that I would have to own! Here are some photos from Rockin Ryan from tonight:

You can check the tour dates below and I will leave you with a tribute video that Rockin Ryan put together which includes photos and footage of Falling In Reverse from the their Unplugged performance and another one from their set at Aftershock Festival:
