Five Finger Death Punch spreading an important message with their video for Wrong Side of Heaven

Five Finger Death Punch have always been one of my favorite bands. They are not only a band of great musicians but some of the nicest, caring guys in the industry. They were recently featured as one of our Aftershock Festival Bands of the Day as they will be making stop from their co-headlining tour with Volbeat next month for the festival.

They have recently released their video for Wrong Side of Heaven and are hard at work delivering an important message about the staggering statistics of returning veterans afflicted and living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Check out the emotionally driven video and truly poignant message here:

The video has surpassed a million views in less than weeks time. One thing is certain, Five Finger Death Punch not only wanted to make everyone aware of the situation, but they are doing more than that by insuring that people join forces to assist these veterans. In tandem with the video’s premiere, the group ignited a special crowd-funding campaign for a jersey entitled 5FDP4VETS “No One Gets Left Behind” on Indiegogo. The campaign’s goal of raising $50,000 was bested by double in less than two day’s time–exceeding $100,000. The campaign continues to run and the proceeds will benefit organizations that joined forces with the group to raise awareness for veterans suffering from PTSD. Fans who pledged will receive a limited-edition jersey created and designed by guitarist ZOLTAN BATHORY. The initial run of shirts ran out, and the band expanded it by 1,000 in order to keep up with the overwhelming demand.  You can visit the campaign page by visiting here: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/5fdp4vets-no-one-gets-left-behind.

In addition, the band launched the webpage www.5fdp4Vets.com. It sheds light on veterans afflicted with PTSD, their struggles, and offers a video call-to-action to fans asking them to send in their fallen loved ones’ dog tags to build a memorial wall commemorating them. This memorial wall will be prominently featured on the band’s upcoming fall arena tour as their backdrop. Once the tour concludes, the proper museum will be sought out to showcase this memorial to the fallen heroes who gave their lives serving our country.

So please make sure to check out the video, share it with your friends and family so we can all become more aware and see how we can help those who have fought for our freedom.  We look forward to seeing the return of Five Finger Death Punch at the Monster Energy Aftershock Festival in September.

They are known for their high energy set that has the crowd complete engaged. Check the upcoming tour dates and see if they will be coming to a venue near you. This is one concert you don’t want to miss.
