“When the heart grieves over what is has lost,

the spirit rejoices over what it has left.”  – Sufi Epigram

Suicide Silence have emerged from the tragedy of losing their frontman Mitch Lucker on October 31, 2012.  They not only lost a frontman, they lost a best friend, brother, and so much more.  It is through moving forward that their spirit rejoiced and are looking ahead into a bright future.  With the introduction of  Hernan “Eddie” Hermida as new vocalist, the band is stronger than ever and ready to do what they love, make music and perform.

Suicide Silence recently released their heavy new track, “Cease To Exist” just a couple weeks ago and it has been well received and garnering a lot of great attention. It is a bad ass heavy track that you have to check out. The song comes off their forthcoming album, “You Can’t Stop Us” which is set for a July 15th release in the US. “Suicide Silence have declared You Can’t Stop Me as their most impassioned, most committed, and most important release thus far. It’s a record they fought, bled, sweated and even cried to make happen. Consequently, it’s a record that must be heard. As Suicide Silence have found new life and empowerment in the compositions boiling within You Can’t Stop Me, so shall their increasingly strong army of supporters, both old and new, who share in that empowerment. If a rising heavy metal band can overcome a tragedy this triumphantly, this definitively, this absolutely, then surely there’s hope for us all.”

The band is looking forward to getting back out on the road as they return on the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Fest, set to begin on July 5th in San Bernardino, CA and end on August 10th in The Woodlands, TX. We had the chance to chat with guitarist, Mark Heylmun and discuss the new album and upcoming tour. We are pleased to bring that interview to you here:
