Sleep for Dreaming is an alternative/indie rock band from Amarillo, Texas and they are definitely worthy of your attention. They are a powerful trio delivering emotionally driven songs wrapped in melodic alternative rock. They remind me of early Toad The Wet Sprocket and the first time I heard them. The Tragic Thrills deliver a stellar set on their stop in San Francisco

Last week was a very hard week dealing with a death in our family and the overwhelming flood of emotions that were felt after the loss of my aunt and helping my mother adjust to life without her. So with a hard week at hand, it was nice to get a break from the seriousness of life and venture out and cover The Tragic Thrills as they made their stop in San Francisco at the Bottom of the Hill. The music of The Tragic Thrills was the perfect soundtrack for my night. The uplifting folk pop rock from them provided a solid set where these five young men shined in the spotlight with their musicianship. Dreamers from Brooklyn are creating a buzz with their new video, Wolves

Dreamers, the rock trio from Brooklyn are creating a buzz with their new video, Wolves and deservedly so! The video for Wolves was filmed on Hi8, directed by Nikolai Vanyo and animation provided by Nick Wold. The filming on a Hi8 brings the retro style which is perfect for the romantic werewolf storyline. Modern rockers, Red Tide Rising release video for The Otherside

Modern rockers Red Tide Rising from Denver, Colorado have released a video for their song, The Otherside which is off their new album, The Rising. “The Otherside” was filmed and directed by Mel Haynes, Jr and shot in a warehouse in Denver. The video also features the debut of new bass player, Michael LeBois. Girls and Boys open for Goo Goo Dolls at Sonoma Mountain Village

Last night we ventured out to the new music venue at Sonoma Mountain Village for the inaugural concert which featured Goo Goo Dolls. It was an awesome night. The Goo Goo Dolls are currently out on tour with Daughtry and the Plain White T’s. This show was off of their regular tour dates and we were unsure if there was going to be an opening band. We were excited when we saw another drum set on the stage giving us the assurance of an opening act. What I really love is seeing a completely new band with out knowing anything about them. I wish more people would get excited about warm up bands. You never know if you are about to find yourself a new favorite band. Well that happened last night for us.
