Aftershock 2015

Our Aftershock Spotlight Band is Highly Suspect

September 3, 2015

Today our Aftershock Spotlight Band is Highly Suspect.  Now I will have to tell you about when they first announced the lineup for this year’s Aftershock Festival, Highly Suspect had me jumping in excitement!  I am so glad that they are on the bill and I can’t wait to see them. I  first heard them months ago when I was switching channels on my XM radio and came across the last chorus of Lydia being played on Octane. I was blown away by the smooth yet powerful vocals that blared on my radio. I was glad to quickly glance at the name and caught the song title only. I am serious when I tell you, I rushed home to look up Lydia and came across the song by Highly Suspect. I was in heaven, the song completely rocks and brings out a smooth blues vibe and infectious style. Next, I picked up their just released album, Mister Asylum. I became even more enamored with their music! They are just about to set out on a [Read More]

Interview with The Delta Saints and catch their epic rockin blues set out on tour!

August 10, 2015

We recently brought you some information about the infectious music of Nashville blues rockers, The Delta Saints. We were able to catch their set last night at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley. The venue is ideal for capturing a band that delivers such energy and emotion when they perform and that is exactly what The Delta Saints did last night. We had the chance to chat with vocalist/guitarist and bassist, Ben Ringel and David Supica before their set and are pleased to bring it to you here: The Delta Saints kicked off the night with a set of swampy blues rock that would invigorate you and awake your soul. I have enjoyed their CDs but they truly take it to another level when you watch them perform. They dig deep and give every last bit of energy and emotion into each song. Ben’s vocals carry such a depth of emotion along with the swampy grooves on keys, blistering guitars, funktastic bass lines and on point hard hitting drums. What I love about their performance is [Read More]

Solo Artist Glenn Symmonds premieres new video for Santa Fe

July 22, 2015

“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”  That quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson has always been a favorite of mine. Solo artist Glenn Symmonds seems to be the perfect example of the quote as he has been making his own path with his music after a lineup change in the Eddie Money Band.  Glenn has not only been an exceptional drummer but he is quite a talented singer, songwriter, and all around musician and has an extensive catalog of his solo work. Glenn recently released a music video for his song, Santa Fe which he explains more about the song, The song was written about a family vacation riding the rails… I’m the son of a hobo after all. The video was shot on location in and around Bloomington, Illinois and specifically at the astounding Vrooman Mansion. The entire experience was absolutely amazing and far beyond my expectations! Thank you to the cast & crew for the time, effort, dedication, hospitality & laughter… [Read More]
