  Born and raised in Philly, crash landed in Charleston, Kevin and John Shields are breaking into previously uncharted waters with their quirky indie hip-hop group, Little Stranger. More about Little Stranger: Between John’s melodic singer-songwriter magnetism, Kevin’s in-your-face delivery, and an overall undeniable groove, this duo is sure to get any audience up and moving. Stylistically reminiscent of Gorillaz and Odelay-era Beck, Little Stranger delivers a fresh take on melodic hip-hop. Every track brings the uniqueness and strangeness that their name implies. For the past few years, the duo has perfected their live performance by playing over 100 shows per year prior to the coronavirus shutdown.   Smashing Pumpkins at BottleRock Napa 2023 delivered a flawless set, left us asking what year was it? They sounded on point and just as good as in the 90’s.  They continue to bring their artistry to life with their music and captivate the audience. The Wrecks fueled the crowd at BottleRock with a high energy set

  It is great to see bands that we have been covering for years grow and get the accolades that they so deserve. One of those bands is The Wrecks.  From catching them opening up for All Time Low in 2017 and then playing at the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco in 2018, it has been a steady climb for these guys. Their music is non-stop high energy. From the second they hit the stage, to the last note, they are giving every ounce of themselves to their fans. After playing Austin City Limits, half-alive came out to perform at BottleRock Napa 2023 amid their Conditions Of A Punk (tour). Hitting the Truly stage during BottleRock Napa 2023 was Oke Junior. More about Oke Junior: Matthew Osivwemu, also known as Oke Junior, is a hip hop performing artist from Oakland, California. When Oke was twelve years old he moved to Napa to live with his older brother Anthony. It was in Napa where Oke would turn his life around and began taking music seriously. His brother Anthony, who was also a music artist, became his music mentor.  After winning multiple talents shows throughout Middle School & High School, Oke knew music was his calling. He was heavily influenced by 90’s and early 2000’s hip hop and R&B. Admiring artist like Mac Dre, 2pac, & Snoop Dogg. His story telling, lyrical skills, and versatility as an artist is what makes him a stand out talent coming out of the Bay Area. He graduated from Napa High with a full ride academic scholarship to Sacramento State.
