State Line Empire to play at the Whisky’s 50th Anniversary Party!

One of the hardest working bad ass rock bands of California is set to play the legendary Whisky-a-Go-Go’s 50th Anniversary Party. That band is one of my favorite bands, State Line Empire! The best part is the party is on Saturday, January 25th, 2014 right during the NAMM 2014 show. We will be down there busy covering the NAMM show and checking out the latest and greatest in the music industry so it will be a long week. The highlight will be seeing State Line Empire on Saturday! Derek Johnston parts ways with Adelita’s Way

Earlier today, we received the news via Facebook, that bassist, Derek Johnston is no longer with Adelita’s Way. We have had the pleasure seeing Derek play many times with Adelita’s Way and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors. Adelita’s Way is currently working working on their new album and we will see if we can get an update on it. They have mentioned that the new album is set for early 2014. Meanwhile, I will leave you with a video from the last time I saw Adelita’s Way which was last year in 2012 in Reno, NV. ICED EARTH announce North American Headlining Tour in 2014!

2014 is going to be an amazing year for metal band, ICED EARTH. We have been very excited about their upcoming album, “PLAGUES OF BABYLON”which is set for a January 21, 2014 release on Century Media Records. They have also announced their North American Headlining tour with Sabaton and Revamp starting in April 2014. ICED EARTH guitarist and vocalist, Jon Schaffer explains more about the album, “This is a seriously heavy album with a seriously brutal album cover. I’m sure it will go down as a classic in the epic ICED EARTH catalog. We feel that the package with SABATON and REVAMP is very strong and we are very excited to tour the U.S. and Canada again and kick some major ass!” Now that is going to be one fierce album and the tour is going to be just as brutal. Legendary Rockers Scorpions release track listing for upcoming MTV Unplugged CD/DVD

International legendary rockers, Scorpions recently announced the upcoming release of their MTV Unplugged CD/DVD package. The material is from the Scorpions’ first-ever “MTV Unplugged show” and will feature new acoustic versions of their big hits and even five new songs! The sets were recorded and filmed on September 11th and 12th at Lycabettus Theatre in Athens, Greece. The Scorpions is Klaus Meine (vocals/guitar), Rudolf Schenker (guitars/vocals), Matthias Jabs (guitars), Pawel Maciwoda (bass) and James Kottak (drums). Mikael Nord Andersson (guitars, mandolin, lap steel, vocals) and Martin Hansen (guitars, harmonica, vocals) are also providing additonal music support. Seven Days Lost release their video for ‘Whiskey and Gasoline”

Shock Rock/Metal Seven Days Lost from Pueblo, Colorado have just released their video for Whiskey and Gasoline. They have been called, rock, metal, shock rock but whatever you want to call them is fine with me. They are AWESOME! Think a combination of GWAR, Murderdolls and Rob Zombie! The song is truly bad ass and has a great rockabilly feel to it’s metal rock and it is a funny video too. One of my favorite bands, Another Lost Year, rockers from North Carolina have done it again! Last year, my favorite song of the year was owned by them… “War On The Inside”. It still makes me rock out and smile when it pops up on my playlist. It is a bad ass mother f*&@ker fist pumping song! Well I think they might have done it again. They have just released their video for their new song, “The End of You and I” and DAMN THIS SONG IS AWESOME!! Interview with SpiralArms and SF show highlights

Last Friday, we had the pleasure of catching SpiralArms as they opened up for Steel Panther at The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco. One thing about a Steel Panther show is everybody is ready to ROCK and have some fun! So it was awesome to see Bay Area local band, SpiralArms take over the stage and literally captured the crowd. SpiralArms is a six piece band and they literally create an amazingly complete sound. With the addition of a keyboardist and second guitarist which is often missed, you really get to hear the layers in their music and it just adds so much texture and depth to their sound. They are definitely one of the hottest contemporary rock bands out there and their live performances will completely ROCK YOU! Their unique sound might remind you of a blend of Soundgarden and Black Sabbath which is a damn good combination!
