Interview with your new favorite metal band, Righteous Vendetta!

August 8, 2013

I had told you last month about a great new Metal band, Righteous Vendetta. I love Metal with clean vocals and a lot of kick ass double bass. My prayers were answered as I discovered Righteous Vendetta! These guys completely deliver everything you want in Metal and more! Check them out here on their latest video for their new single The Fire Inside:   What did you think of that double bass? Kick ass right??? Ya, I thought so! and those vocals, HOLY SHIT! We need more clean metal vocals like that. They just finished putting together their full length album which is set to release this fall. Even those these guys are relatively young, they are delivering music wiser than their years and know what we want! Their song “This Pain” spent 15 weeks on the Billboard charts. Well, we had a chance to catch up with Justin Olmstead, guitarist and we are pleased to bring you that interview: * * * * * * * * * * * * * Music Junkie Press:  [Read More]

Halestorm release new video for “Here’s To Us”

August 6, 2013

Halestorm has finally released the long awaited video for “Here’s to Us“. We had been hearing about the release for a couple weeks now but I guess they wanted to keep our anticipation growing.  Check out the video which is for their song, “Here’s to Us” which was released last spring on the band’s second album, “The Strange Case of…”      Lzzy Hale explained more about the song to Rolling Stone magazine: “We wrote this song literally as our personal anthem. We’ve been through a lot together as a band, and we’ve learned to celebrate the low times as well as the highs.  It’s about toughin’ out and respecting the journey for us, and that’s how we have kept it together as a foursome for 10 years!  Here’s to us!” I swear when I see the thumbnail for the video I can’t help but think that Lzzy Hale reminds me of Tony Montana’s sister from Scarfare!   Also make sure to check out the upcoming tour dates for Halestorm.  ~ Marisol   Information & Links: Website:  www.HalestormRocks.com  [Read More]

Also in the band is Henry Derek as vocalist, keyboardist Chris Vrenna (Nine Inch Nails), and guitarists Jed Simon (Strapping Young Lad) and Kris Norris (Darkest Hour). Scar the Martyr is set to release their debut album is set to release on October 1st. You can listen to their song, Blood Host on the Revolver site here.    As stated on the Revolver site, Jordison says of the track, “It’s very coincidental that ‘Blood Host’ is our first track and video because it was the first song I wrote for this project when it was nothing but a mere idea at best. Songs, of course, followed, and molded into an overall feel, concept, and now a full-length album. ‘Blood Host’ has it all: hypnotic riffs, soaring choruses, pummeling breakdowns, and the lyrics are infectious in every [Read More]

A Story Beneath releases new video for “All in My Head”

August 1, 2013

One of my favorite bands that I told you about in a post back in May  that includes an interview with Phil Goff, has recently released a video for their kick ass song, “All in  My Head” which is from their new EP Beneath the Skin, and you can check it out here: A Story Beneath is an incredible band from Santa Clarita, California. Phil Goff is on Guitar and Vocals, Toddy Libby on Bass and Keys, and Markus Flick on drums. These three guys come together with driving rhythms, melodic chords blended with some powerful rock reminiscent of Silverchair, early Tool and Incubus but they definitely have a sound of their own.  Once you start listening to them, believe me, you might not stop. I told you about one of my Go To songs which is  “Chamelion”. This song just gets up in me and has me revived in an instant.  You can get their new EP right on CDBaby here. So make sure to check them on their social media sites and check out their new [Read More]

Tom Keifer is on Solid Ground with his new album, The Way Life Goes

July 30, 2013

Growing up in the 70’s/80’s, I listened to a LOT of ROCK n ROLL. One of my favorite bands from the 80’s was the Philadelphia based blues rock band CINDERELLA. I went to many of their concerts to just to hear the raspy, distinctive gritty voice of Tom Keifer. His vocals were incredible and always drew me to their music.  Tom had suffered some nodules on his vocal chords and at one time, left him unsure if we was going to ever be able to sing again.  Tom has succeeded in treating his issues with his vocal chords and continues to amaze us with his powerful and amazing voice. Earlier this year, Tom released his solo record, The Way Life Goes on Merovee Records (through WMG ILG) and went out on the first part of his tour in support of the album. Tom has two singles out from this spectacular album, Solid Ground and The Flower Song.  We are excited to bring you our interview with Tom Keifer. * * * * * * * [Read More]
