Motives release music video for Timeless

May 14, 2015

Melodic hardcore band Motives have released their new music video for Timeless. The video was filmed at Chippewa Lake Park, an old abandoned amusement park in Medina, OH. The location and imagery provides an illustration of reliving innocence and captures the meaning behind the track. Guitarist Kevin Burrows, comments, “The visual for this song really pulls out the innocence of being young and how we would all love to relive that beautiful time in our lives. This song means a lot to all of us because with all they craziness of growing up and having responsibilities, we need a reminder that it’s the little things that are more important.” Check out the video here:   Make sure to visit their social media sites and stay up to date on their latest news. ~ Marisol Information & Links: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Motivesohs Twitter: https://twitter.com/motivesoh

I Prevail approach 10 million views on their cover of Blank Space by Taylor Swift

May 12, 2015

Earlier this year we featured the fast rising post hardcore band I Prevail from Detroit as our Band of the Day. They have been garnering a lot of attention for their incredible cover of Taylor Swift’s Blank Space.  From the first time I heard it, I was blown away with how they completely did an amazing job at taking the pop song and making it their own. Their video is just shy of 10 million views! Vocalist Brian Burkheiser shares, “It’s crazy exciting, when we did the video we hoped for 5,000-10,000 views including our friends and families.  Now when we try to think about ten million views, it’s so hard to imagine but it really makes us work harder to make all our fans happy with this adventure.  We want to meet all ten million one to one but it’s getting tougher to do… but we will keep trying.”    You can check out the video once again here: You can check out I Prevail as they are heading out as support for Amaranthe. I Prevail is our Band of the Day

February 23, 2015

Today’s Band of the Day goes to the fast rising post hardcore band I Prevail from Detroit. They have been garnering a lot of attention spanning the genres for their incredible cover of Taylor Swift’s Blank Space.  From the first time I heard it, I was blown away with how they completely did an amazing job at taking the pop song and making it their own. When asked why the band chose to cover “Blank Space,” drummer Lee  shares “I enjoy her music.  She is one of the most successful artists of our generation.  We hoped to reach a lot of people with our style of music together with her popularity.”  Lead guitarist Steve adds, “I think the success of our cover shows that a great song is a great song, no matter the genre or style.  We wanted to cover a song that had mass appeal and could reach beyond the rock, metal and hardcore world.  Beyond that, we honestly all like Taylor Swift.  You can call it a guilty pleasure, but she’s damn [Read More]
