Check out the fun video by Mainland for Leave The Lights On

June 19, 2014

Summertime is here and what better way to enjoy it than by checking out the new video by Mainland for their song, Leave the Lights On. The fun video features the band having summertime fun, skating around town and having drinks by the Hudson River. Lead singer Jordan Topf sneers, “Living in the city, I get so bored,” with Julian Casablancas-like aplomb in the track’s bridge, the adolescent energy and colorful nostalgia of these visuals are anything but blasé. ”  Check out the video here: The catchy song is off their 2nd EP, Shiner and it really brings out the fun in the sun California style. Their EP has four tracks of energetic indie-rock that fuses everything from grunge to punk to rock and everything in between. They are the answer for your aural pleasures! Mainland is: Jordan Topf – Guitar, Synth and Vocals Corey Mullee – Lead Guitar and Synth Alex Pitta – Bass Dylan Longstreet – Drums Make sure to pick up their new EP on iTunes. I will leave you with another one of my favorite tracks [Read More]

Check out the remix of Zander Bleck Dirty Love Song by award winning remixers, Chomstars

June 18, 2014

With the fast rise or should I say comeback of EDM it is great to see the creative remixes that have been made. In the 90’s I spent many weekends in the nightclubs in San Francisco enjoying electronic dance music, just back then we called it ’90s!  Today, with the advances in music technology the remixers have set the bar higher and bring a whole new life to the music genre.   Award winning remix trio of Chomstars have taken their fresh Electro House stylings to dismantle and rebuild the Zander Bleck pop hit “Dirty Love Song”. Check it out here: For this remix we really wanted the instrumentation and arrangement to bolster the emotional impact of Zander’s powerful pop vocal. It’s more on the purely electro side than our upcoming Stargazing EP, but with some futuristic and creative twists.  – Chomstars The dynamic trio are also gearing up for the release of their “Stargazing” EP, a melodic, four track dance-floor destroyer featuring pulsating basslines and explosive drops, out 6/23/2014 on Audiophile Live. Check out Chomstars “Stargazing” Minimix here: Stay tuned for the release [Read More]
