Sara Skinner WOW! Amazing voice that just embraces your soul. Truly the work of an angel. That is how I can describe this next artist. I have to tell you about an unbelievable new artist that I am looking forward to seeing at NAMM at the Lampifier Microphone booth next week. That incredible voice belongs to beautiful and talented, Sara Skinner. I first heard about Sara and was asked to check out one of her cover songs that she does on her Youtube channel. Number Station revives Alternative Hard Rock!

Number Station Sometimes you just need your music a bit heavier!! Well if now is that time, Number Station is the band for you. I recently got their EP sampler sent over and it was one of those rare moments. Those moments when I was in the middle of multitasking a hundred things at once, going over the list of things to have to get done and then popping the CD in. The first song that played was “The Invisible Fire” which has a great dark mysterious intro that just blends into a deep hardcore mix. It is like waking yourself up from a long sleep and seeing that you only have a few hours left of the day. So you wake up and give it all you got, energized and ready to scream out to the world. Christian Martucci, creating a scene for great music!

Christian Martucci I am excited to tell you about Christian Martucci’s new solo project. I have my IPod filled with great songs from Christian’s past and they are some of my favorite songs. From “Nowhere Ride” by The Chelsea Smiles to “Last Fucking Hope” by Black President and to “Shine”, “Downsider” and “Lights Out” from “Thousand Watt Stare“. Christian is just purely awesome on guitar and vocals. He has such a great unique sound that just draws you in and energizes you. In my previous post from Thousand Watt Stare I described his voice as “Ramones with a touch of Johnny Rotten and a dash of Elvis Costello which is an incredible combination.” He is like liquid adrenaline running through your veins. 12 Days of Rock Christmas! Day 12 On the 12th day of Christmas my Rock and Roll love gave to me some bold glam rock with Reckless Love. Being the last day of the 12 Days of Christmas, I wanted to really bring out and highlight my love for 80’s rock and sleaze rock. It is as if Reckless Love were a band frozen in time just before the grunge and alternative rock took over the airwaves. Then they were thawed out and just came out guns blazing and ready to rock. These guys literally just have everything that I wanted back in my ’80s rock and so much more. They are delivering fresh new music and their song “Born to Break Your Heart” has topped the charts at No. 1 on Fin Radio. This song reminds could rival any Bon Jovi hits and I really like it! 12 Days of Rock Christmas! Day 11 On the 11th day of Christmas my Rock and Roll love gave to me some awesome rock with Hotel Diablo. This band puts together 80’s inspired rock and roll, complete with the power ballads, shredding guitars, strong vocals and octane level energy! Hotel Diablo was formed in 2011 by one of the hardest working guitarists, Alex Grossi and dynamic vocalist Rick Stitch. These guys then completed the perfect union with precision bass by Mike Duda and adrenaline fed drums by Mike Dupke. Together they serve up some intense rock for you that we have all been craving. Earlier this year they released their full length album The Return to Psycho California through Scarlet Records. The album was produced by none other than Gilby Clark of Guns n Roses and Rockstar Supernova. The Return to Psycho California is available through Itunes or Amazon. You are going to love this album. 12 Days of Rock Christmas! Day 10 On the 10th day of Christmas my Rock and Roll love gave to me some off the hook hard rock with Jettblack from across the pond. Okay my 80’s and 90’s Rock lovers out there, here is another awesome high powered, energy driven rock band that you are going to fall in love with. I promise on this one! These guys deliver the goods and by the way, it is so nicely packaged… Jettblack are four rockers from High Wycombe, England and started back in 2007. They have cited their influences as “Anything up until 1994”. Well these guys have been touring Europe and we are waiting for our turn to Rock out to this fantastic band. Their music has everything from hot guitar licks, smoking riffs, melodic chorus, heavy basslines and rockin drums.
