Interview with our BottleRock Napa Spotlight Band: New Politics at their Fillmore headlining show

One thing is certain, New Politics are the must-see band of this year’s BottleRock Napa Festival. From the moment we heard they would be on the lineup, we were excited for everyone to catch their performance. It was nearly eight years ago when I was first introduced to New Politics. They were an opening band for The Spill Canvas at Slim’s in San Francisco and ten seconds into their set, we were blown away. They gave us a performance that raised the hairs on our neck, full on non-stop energy and intensity. Fast forward to 2018 and New Politics still succeed at delivering that level of intensity and magic on stage. FOZZY rocks San Francisco with a high energy performance at Slim’s

FOZZY the active rock band fronted by Chris Jericho made a stop in San Francisco for their Judas Rising 2018 Tour. The headlining tour is in support of their album JUDAS, released in October 2017. The kick ass album continues to dominate top album lists as it delivers non-stop high energy rock. Chris commented on the tour, “I’m stoked to do this extensive tour of the States now that ‘Judas,’ the song, is a Top 5 rock radio hit and Judas, the album, has gone top 40! It was one show that we had waited months for, and it was finally approaching. Robert Plant and The Sensational Space Shifters performing at the Fox Theater in Oakland. It was one of the shows that kept us going with anticipation and excitement as we tried to recover from the devastating loss of our home and business in the Santa Rosa firestorms in October 2017. It gave us the strength and hope to move forward, for us to see Robert Plant perform in the theater style setting of the Fox Theater. Well, it not only lived up to all of our expectations, it exceeded them. After the fire, the way I listened to music drastically changed. Our Spotlight is shining bright on one of our favorite bands; Modern Kicks. These Bay Area rockers continue to garner high praise for delivering nonstop rock n roll, reminiscent of 70’s punk/rock era. They are exactly what we have all been missing from the music scene. Straight up rock with punk rock edge and an attitude that doesn’t quit. They are in no way imitating an old sound, they have worked to create their own signature sound and we are hooked! Only days after their kick ass set at BottleRock, Foo Fighters release new single and video for “Run”

Foo Fighters delivered a killer set at BottleRock 2017 this past weekend. The crowd had camped out early on the grass all day long, to get a prime spot for the final band on the JaM Cellars Stage. It was great for us to finally watch them perform since the last time we had quite an experience at Salesforce Dreamfest in 2015. Our photographer suffered several injuries and a busted camera after what was definitely a Corporate Riot! But fast forward to Sunday night and the excellent security and planning of BottleRock, there were no signs of any injuries or crowd control issues. This past weekend, Lita Ford made a stop in Santa Rosa for a great performance at the top notch venue, House of Rock. Starting off the night was a kick ass set by the legendary rockers, Enuff Z’Nuff. Gwen Stefani made a stop in Mountain View this past weekend for her This Is What the Truth Feels Like Tour. The Shoreline Amphitheater was packed as her dedicated fans arrived early in anticipation of a great night. Of course, Gwen didn’t disappoint as she delivered a flawless set for Mountain View. Gwen has been busy out on this tour in support of her highly praised solo album, This Is What The Truth Feels Like. The album brings to life her emotions in an energetic pop, electronic, alt-rock journey. Her set also included several No Doubt track which brought loud cheers and screams to the audience. It was great to see how diverse a crowd she draws and also includes young kids to seasoned rockers.
