Theory of a Deadman is our Monster Energy Aftershock Featured Band of the Day

Today we are back at highlighting the many awesome bands on the lineup for this year’s Monster Energy Aftershock Festival. Our spotlight for today is on one of my personal favorites, Theory of a Deadman. I was glad to see them on the lineup because it has been way too long since my last concert of theirs. They have also just released their new album, Savages on Roadrunner Records. This is the fifth full length album for the Canadian rockers and it is another great one. They have definitely honed in on mastering their craft and taken chances on this album that I think are well taken. I love to see a band evolve into their own style and doing what they want to do and make the music “they” want and this album highlights their great songwriting skills. Lacuna Coil is probably one of my favorite bands today. I am ecstatic to see them on the lineup for this year’s Monster Energy Aftershock Festival. They are going to give the crowd one of the best empowering sets they have seen in a while. It will be great to hear from the poor souls who have never seen them or heard of them before and what they think about them after. It is amazing to watch the intensity that Lacuna Coil brings to life on the stage. You are absolutely captivated by all five of them during their performance. They each have excellent stage presence and bring this intense level of symphonic style melody to metal that is just addictive and one of my faves. Sneak Peek at our Warped Tour Coverage from the Mountain View date.

Warped Tour returned yesterday to the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California. It was another awesome date for the festival as this year it celebrates it’s 20th anniversary of bringing music to the masses! The weather was perfect, clear skies and sunshine all day long. The lines were long and they started early. It was great to see how long the donation line was for their early entry. Want in early? Then bring three canned goods, (Can’t be dented cans), a $5 donation or a used cell phone to the Feed Our Children NOW! tent located near the “Skip The Line” flag where you’ll receive a skip the line wristband in exchange for your donation. Farewell, My Love talks with us about fans, The Rock and Rebel Tour and more new music!

Farewell, My Love is in the first week of their Rock and Rebel Tour and they have been lighting up the venues with their energetic sets. Just a couple months ago, we had told you about the awesome show that Farewell, My Love delivered on their stop into San Francisco for the We Own The Night Tour. This past Thursday, we were treated to the return of Farewell, My Love as they brought The Rock and Rebel Tour into Santa Rosa at the Live Musician’s Co-op. Eddie Money kicks off the Thunder Valley Summer Concert Series with a Shakin’ good time

Summer is finally here and one thing is for sure, we love all the summer concert series. Just this past Saturday, we headed up to the Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln, CA to cover their first summer show featuring Eddie Money, Loverboy and Rick Springfield. We will featuring all these bands but wanted to start it off right with the awesome set by the Eddie Money Band. Temperatures hit in the 100’s Friday and it was definitely one of the most sweltering afternoons. That didn’t stop the energy that Eddie Money and his band gave to everyone that night. They took to the stage at 6:30 and it was in the high 90’s and there was not an empty seat in the house. They kicked off the set with the crowd favorite, Baby Hold On To Me. Devil You Know is a crowd favorite at Regency Ballroom for Golden Gods Tour

Earlier we brought you our coverage of Butcher Babies and of course headliners, Black Label Society from their Friday night sets at the Regency Ballroom for the Golden Gods Tour. Now let me tell you about the Devil You Know. If you haven’t heard of them, you WILL definitely be hearing about them. This band is of supergroup caliber and is brimming with amazing talent. You might think it was a new band; but it has been nearly five years in the making and started with guitarist Francesco Artusato (All Shall Perish, Francesco Artusato Project) and drummer John Sankey (Devolved, Fear Factory Divine Heresy) wanting to branch out beyond their metal backgrounds. Together they wrote dozens of songs and when they brought the material to former vocalist for Killswitch Engage, Howard Jones, they had found their perfect vocalist.
