Amanda Markley brings a depth of emotion to life with her new song, Cold (revisited)

April 27, 2016

Amanda Markley, the Seattle pop starlet has just released a beautiful touching song that brings out a depth of emotion. Her new song, Cold (revisited) is off her upcoming self-titled EP which is set for a May 6th release.  Amanda comments about the song, “When you go through heartbreak, there are lots of questions you have that get left unanswered, and this song really calls out to that. I wanted to revisit “Cold” because I connect so closely to the lyrics. Having gone through a tough breakup myself a few months back, I really know what it’s like to feel the emotions of this song. I wanted to record a version of “Cold” that would capture the raw emotion I was feeling and portray that to the listener.” Check out the song here: [soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/255080896″ params=”auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&visual=true” width=”100%” height=”450″ iframe=”true” /]   You can pre-order the new EP here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/amanda-markley-ep/id1101533117. James Bay delivers a grand performance to a sold out Oakland crowd at the Fox Theater

April 25, 2016

We were very excited to catch the most recent performance of James Bay at the Fox Theater in Oakland, CA. The fans began lining up early afternoon as it was a sold out show, and it would be a packed house. The night kicked off with an impressive performance by Joseph. Joseph features three sisters from the Pacific Northwest, who delighted the crowd with their powerful vocals and melodic harmonies. The trio captivated the crowd and earned high praises from the audience. The crowd grew in anxiety as they awaited the arrival of James Bay. It was wonderful to see the diversity in the crowd. It was a mix of culture, age, gender and social backgrounds that came together to enjoy the music of James Bay. People came from all over for this show. We even met a young woman who flew all the way out from Indiana for the show. Marisol Baumann (yes, I was just as shocked that she was also named Marisol) said she had just flown in hours earlier in [Read More]

Folk singer-songwriter Quinell premieres video for Space to Breathe

April 7, 2016

Pacific Northwest folk singer-songwriter Quinell has release a video for his song, Space To Breathe. His soulful voice will awaken your senses with his heartfelt lyrics. It is soul bearing song as it displays such a vulnerability that has you wanting to wrap your arms around him. It is refreshing to see such honest raw emotion in a track. Quinell comments about the song, “The song, ‘Space to Breathe‘, is written about the end of a relationship. That time in the relationship when one of the two involved decides they need some space and while you’d like to believe that there’s still a chance, you know it’s really over. As a student at Walla Walla University, my favorite building on campus was always “Village Hall”. Now, as an alumni and a musician, I was very excited to be granted the opportunity to record a couple of my own songs in this beautiful building. What started out as a random idea to shoot a song in Village Hall has turned into the “Village Hall Sessions”, something [Read More]

Check out the new video from YOTAM for California Sounds

March 31, 2016

Singer/Songerwriter YOTAM has just released a video for the title track off his new album, California Sounds. The video was Directed by: Ian Fisher, Filmed By: Kathrine Kohl & Ian Fisher, Produced By: Ian Fisher & Yotam Ben Horin.  YOTAM comments about the video, “”It was the very end of the 2 month Coast to Coast US tour, I wanted to go revisit the same hotel that the cover photo for “California Sounds” was shot in just 7 months before. Since my friends Ian and Katherine who shot the video for “Sad” live only a few blocks away, I had an idea that maybe we should just make a video of me visiting the site with my guitar, no real plan, script or story. It’s fun to see how I went from looking as I normally do on the album cover to a complete hillbilly here. It’s like two different people but I guess that’s a part of my story” Check out the video here: Yotam had quite a successful 20 years with punk band Useless [Read More]
