12 Year old Cancer Victim leaves secret words of wisdom on back of mirror

The Orchard family have been struggling to deal with the loss of their 12 year old daughter Athena who on May 28th, tragically lost her battle with bone cancer osteosarcoma. After her passing, the family were left to deal with the heartbreaking task of going through her things. During that time is when they discovered a secret note left behind for them from Athena. Her father Dean found a long 3000 word message written in a black sharpie on the back of her mirror. In addition to the message on the mirror, he found a box of self penned songs. On the mirror, it is like a list of words of wisdom for all of us to listen to and live. It is truly touching to see that that this young girl who was struggling in a courageous battle for her life, took to sharing her innermost feelings. It is amazing and touching in so many ways. Love Crushed Velvet release new video for Lover, Leave The Lights On

Love Crushed Velvet from New York City have released their new video for their song, “Lover, Leave The Lights On”. The track was originally released on Love Crushed Velvet’s compelling new EP Delusions in September, mixed by Mark Needham (Blondie, Fleetwood Mac, The Killers). Love Crushed Velvet brings to life their melodic rock track with captivating vocals. In regards to the video, lead singer/songwriter A.L.X. explains, “Lover, Leave the Lights On” is about a love triangle in which a woman would only be intimate with her husband with the lights off so she could pretend that it was her lover that she was sleeping with. State Line Empire ROCKS OUT to a SOLD OUT Whisky a GoGo opening for SKID ROW

We recently brought you our coverage of State Line Empire as they delivered a Killer set at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco opening for Black Star Riders and Skid Row. We have exciting news to share with you. Our friends in Delta Rose will be opening for Guns n Roses this Saturday, May 24th at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. One thing is for sure, it will be an incredible night and Delta Rose will be delivering another one of their kick ass sets! Delta Rose is one of the best live bands out there. They are such a young band but have showmanship that is well beyond their years. State Line Empire ROCKS the DNA Lounge opening for Skid Row

Last night we headed to the DNA Lounge in San Francisco to see State Line Empire as they were opening for Skid Row. The place was packed and The Devil in California opened the night with a solid set and then came State Line Empire for a ROCKIN set, and up next was Black Star Riders (Thin Lizzy) and headliner Skid Row closed out the night with a bang! State Line Empire sounded great as they started off the set with a crowd favorite, Load Em Up. One thing is for sure, this band is never short on energy and they have an infectious rock vibe that spread through the crowd.
