Red9 release new video for “Ignoramus”

The video is finally here! Red9 released their video for “Ignoramus” from their new album “Under Dark Skies”. Their album is filled with some KICK ASS Rock n Roll and you can read my full review of it here. It is a great video and I just love the bad ass bass in that song! It dark edgy sound with an exuberant build up that just delivers another well composed song from Red9.The video is incredibly entertaining and was directed by Raúl Gonzales (RSM Creative). Red9 does seem to put out some of the best videos in the industry lately! Let’s get down and dirty for Day 8 of 12 Days of Bands You Have to Know. How about some French glam rockers, BlackRain for Day 8?? These bad ass rockers first started in 2006 and quickly rose to fame in Europe and have become one of the most noted French rock bands. You have Swan on Vocals and Guitars, Max on lead guitar and Mat on Bass and Frank on Drums. The first time I heard BlackRain is when my son Rockin Ryan played Overloaded for me and I was instantly transformed back to my nights spent on the Sunset Strip in the ’80s. At first I thought I was listening to an old Motley Crue track!! Swan on vocals just blows you away with his powerful voice and he has perfected the high vocal ranges of the ’80s. Day 3 of 12 Days of Guitarists goes to J.R. Bareis of Love and Death

For our Day 3 of 12 Days of Guitarists, I bring you one of most talented teens to the hit the stage in a very long time. J.R. Baries of Love and Death. J.R. was picked by Korn guitarist, Brian Head Welch to join his band, Love and Death when he was only 15 in March 2011. J.R. has been playing guitar since he was 11 and it is amazing to know that he never took any lessons, completely self taught. He shreds on the guitar and has quite impressive skills that definitely qualify him as our guitarist extraordinaire. J.R. uses PRS Guitars, Mesa Boogie, GHS Strings, 1964 Ears, In Tune Guitar Picks and Best-Tronics Guitar Cables. The Lost Files…. Danko Jones at Uproar Festival

Well, let me tell you what a year it has been… Almost two months now our hard drive has been with our computer nerd, Al who has been trying to salvage almost 30 hours of video interviews and photos. Well today we have a breakthrough!!!! We received yesterday our recovered Danko Jones interview from the Uproar Festival in Mountain View in August earlier this year. Danko Jones put on another amazing performance during their set at Uproar Festival. They always deliver 100% pedal to the metal energy and this time there was no letting up. Day 4 of 12 Days of Bands You Have to Know goes to False Puppet

Today is Day 4 of our 12 Days of Bands You Have to Know. We have a great young band from Santa Barbara, False Puppet. False Puppet is Tyler Benko on Guitar / Vocals, Channing Peake on Bass / Vocals and Brennan Benko on Drums. There may be only three of them but they create a big sound. Their music has an alternative edge to it but equally rocks and has some great punk influences. They definitely have many layers to their music and it completely draws you in. They caught me off guard because they are so young and yet amazingly talented. Countdown of 14 Bands that will rule in 2014! #14 goes to Monster Truck!

Today we start a very new special countdown for the end of the year. Now is the time when we countdown the 14 bands that we think will rule in 2014. We start at number 14 with Monster Truck! Hailing from Ontario, Canada these guys are true to form rockers. What started as a formation of musicians from various Canadian Indie bands, quickly gained momentum and the attention that they deserved. This past year I was first introduced to Monster Truck and instantly fell in love with them. They have successfully revived my love for vintage rock blended with groove filled bass, stellar riffs, thundering drums and powerful vocals. What more can you ask for? Monster Truck is Jon Harvey on Bass and Vocals, Brandon Bliss on Keys and Vocals, Steve Kiely on Drums and Vocals and Jeremy Widerman on Guitar and Vocals. Beauty in the Suffering have just released their much anticipated video for “The Crazies (The Zombie Song)” and it is everything you want in a zombie song! The video was directed by Jonathan Shahan andMike Walsh of Rev Hi-Fi Productions, the mixing performance footage with a horde of zombies descending on the band. Beauty in the Suffering really have a great sound, think a blend of Rob Zombie, Murderdolls and Marilyn Manson. They bring their Electro-Metal Hard Rock to life and raise the level of intensity and energy. The Crazies is set to be the first of three zombie themed songs and we can’t wait to see what they come up with next.
