Kyng gives San Francisco a dose of rock and roll

Earlier this week, the Hell Pop tour came in to  San Francisco and on the bill was All Hail the Yeti, Kyng, Motionless in White and In This Moment. One of the highlights of the night was Kyng. The last time I saw Kyng was when they played the Dean NAMM Jam which is typically filled with buyers, distributors, vendors, artists and not your typical rock audience but Kyng killed it that night. Despite the audience who many remained in their seats, we were standing up and rocking out and enjoying every minute of it! This time, they were playing at The Regency Ballroom and they came out and delivered another high energy filled set. These three guys truly create a powerful sound and you can’t help but rock out in full fist in the air, headbanging style. Quick Wicked from Canada is a MUST HEAR BAND!!!

Energy. Depth. Intensity. Bliss…. That is what you will get when you take a listen to Quick Wicked out of Brantford, Ontario, Canada. I heard them tonight and was blown away. They have some great bass intro lines that just captivate you and the vocals are amazing as is the guitar and drums. They are definitely adding layers to their progressive rock and making their own unique sound.  Quick Wicked is Kyle Love, Kevin French, Rob Eddy, Jeff Love. Lzzy Hale of Halestorm launches own fashion/accessory line

Now if Lzzy Hale was not busy enough kicking ass out on the rock and roll road with Halestorm, she has launched her new product line.  Lzzy is always admired as having a great fashion sense and you can’t help but fall in love with her outfits or the jewelry and accessories that she wears. But what you might not have known is that she makes a lot of her own clothing and jewelry. She has showcased many of her creations over the past year or so on her Instagram account with the hashtag #scissorhappybylzzy. I had seen quite a bit of some awesome jewelry in there that I would have loved to have. Well, just yesterday Lzzy announced the launch of her product line which includes t-shirt, vest, accessories. Montreal’s ONE signs a deal with Pavement Entertainment

Montreal’s hard rock band, ONE have just signed a deal with Pavement Entertainment for the release of their new album, “Worlds Collide” due out on March 14th. They will also be heading out on a full North American tour after release… California stop  PLEASE!! In regards to the signing with Pavement, the band says, “We are looking forward to this new adventure with Pavement Entertainment, and the opportunity to work with industry professionals to take our band to the next level. We are grateful for the chance to be represented by a company that works hard for their artists. “ We can’t wait for the new album. On the album, their is also a very special treat. ONE recorded a heavier rock version of Johnny Cash’s ‘Folsom Prison Blues” and it is completely BAD ASS!! Definitely one to check out. Interview with Sydney of Detroit band, Stereo Jane

When you think of Detroit and music; you think of Motown and the starting point for so many artists! Berry Gordy’s Motown will historically have it’s place in music industry history.  Fast forward to today and Detroit is still delivering some of the freshest, most beautiful sounds to your ears. I recently introduced you to one of those fresh new sounds from Detroit, Stereo Jane. Stereo Jane features the energetic talent of young Detroit natives, 16 year old twins Sydney and Mia Schmier. Sidney is on vocals and  Mia is on drums. Also in their band is the talented trio of Joey Gaydos Jr. on lead guitar, Andrew Schachinger on keyboard and Randy Martin on Bass.  Together they are amazing and a force to be reckoned with. French Metal band DAGOBA takes over San Francisco!

WOW! I know I told you about DAGOBA coming to San Francisco to open up for returning metal band, Dir En Grey but you can’t believe how awesome they were!  I have been looking forward to seeing DAGOBA live since we have been playing a lot of their heavy songs from their latest album, LP “Post Mortem Nihil Est.” It was recently released here in the US only a couple weeks ago and on Sunday night they came to The Regency Ballroom on the Ghoul 2013 Tour with Dir En Grey.  We had the opportunity to interview Shawter, composer and singer for DAGOBA and here is that interview: [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RM9l9-p-PQ&feature=youtu.be]   They really came out and put on an amazing show. Black Oxygen breathes life into The American Dream

It is Monday night and are you ready to get hooked on an KILLER Rock Band??? Sit back, relax and breathe  in the fresh new life of Black Oxygen!  Holy Shit, these guys are amazing. They have a sound that is definitely of their own and it reminds me of a blend of Stone Temple Pilots and Puddle of Mudd. Founder David Lyle not only is an amazing singer/songwriter but also the lead guitarist. Then you have bad ass Jordan Myer on bass and solid drumming by David’s younger brother Nick Lyle. These three guys create a powerful trio that has a big sound that will have you take notice. Black Oxygen released their full length debut album, “The American Dream” that has so many great songs on it that it will continue stay on the charts.
