After The Rush tear down genre walls with their alt-country rock, check out the new video for Oh Baby

June 30, 2017

I really applaud bands who go out of their way to play the music they want, without being forced into a specific genre or music category. A band that is a great example of tearing down those genre walls is After the Rush. They are definitely creating a signature sound like no other, blending alternative rock with a warm Southern spin. They have just released a new video for their song, Oh Baby. The video has been produced by Factory Underground Studio, directed and edited by John Shyloski, with additional photography by Aidan Gerety and Tom Stewart. The song was also recorded at Factory Underground, produced by Isaac and Cash, with mastering by Shyloski. Check out the new video here:   Oh Baby by After the Rush on VEVO.   About After The Rush: Featuring Madison,WI native Ethan Isaac, lead singer of the rock band Edisun, with his songwriting partner, guitarist Joel P Kelley, of Potsdam, NY, After The Rush, or ATR as they often call themselves, also features Bridgeport, CT pianist and organist Brian Larney of the band Lines West, The Town [Read More]

Check out the new track, 4th of July from Pat Scarlett

June 30, 2017

Just in time for the holiday weekend, alt pop artist Pat Scarlett has released the great summer track 4th of July. The song brings to life the easy going free spirit of a summer day. It has an ethereal aura that highlights soothing dreamy vocals that paint a picture of 4th of July.  Check out the track below:     About Pat: Central figure, vocalist, guitarist and mastermind behind the project, Pat Scarlett, has maintained a shrouded profile since LOVECOMMISSION’s first EP, On the West Side, that dropped October 2016. The EP found its way onto rotation on scattered college radio stations across the U.S. and introduced a brand of alt-pop replete with synthy strings and gritty, orchestral guitar arrangements. There was no official release party or straightforward press. When asked about the band, where it came from, how it developed, what it is, his only response is, “listen to the music.” Now, the lead singer & principal songwriter for alt-pop project LOVECOMMISSION has ditched his admittedly amorphous pop project in favour of putting out his [Read More]

Ramonda Hammer releases new alt-grunge-rock single, Bender and we are hooked on it!

June 28, 2017

We are hooked on the new track, Bender from Ramonda Hammer. It is an addictive track that brings together grunge and rock and swaddles it in 90’s alternative vibes and singes it with pop catchiness. We love it! The song is off their new EP Destroyers which is set for an August 4th release. Devin Davis comments about the new song, “I wrote ‘Bender’ when I was binge-watching Shameless for two weeks straight and I couldn’t get off the couch to do anything productive. In retrospect, I guess I could call it “research” or whatever, because I ended up writing this song. But yeah the lyrics are really just a conversation between two opposing sides in one’s brain. The verses ask questions from the more sane, healthy part of one’s psyche, and the choruses respond from the anxiety-ridden, depressed, and very frustrated side. And the reason this person (okay, it’s me!) is so effing frustrated is because they care so so so much, but when crippling depression sets in from time to time, when they [Read More]

Night Argent releases music video for new song, Mannequin

June 28, 2017

Night Argent are gearing up for the release of their sophomore EP, The Fear, which is set for release July 14, 2017 on Outerloop Records. The EP was written and produced by Night Argent (Rainmaker Studios), co-written and produced in part by John Feldmann (Neon Trees, Biffy Clyro, Blink-182) and Steven Solomon.  Night Argent have just released a music video for their new song, Mannequin. Frontman Chase Manhattan had this to say about the track: “‘Mannequin’ is currently our favorite track on this record. The production, and the big power ballad vibe, feels a little reminiscent of our song ‘Kamikaze’ to us, which was the track off of our debut EP that was our favorite to play live. The initial lyrics and concept for ‘Mannequin’ came to me while showering in the hotel room prior to an all day co-writing session we had in Los Angeles. I just kept thinking about the similarities between someone who feels like they’ve lost everything of importance to them, everything that made them who they are, and a mannequin. When someone [Read More]

Alternative soul rocker Joe Marson streams new song, Lost In The Sun

June 28, 2017

Alternative soul rocker Joe Marson has released his new track, Lost In The Sun. The song is off his forthcoming EP  This is Magic, which is set for release on August 18, 2017. Joe comments on the new track, “I wrote the song about my 6 year battle with crippling depression that I experienced in my teens into my mid 20’s. I was held back from going after my dreams of playing music and felt very distanced from my friends and family. I eventually could not take care of myself and was very close to ending my life before finding the right combination of things that literally brought me back from the dead; and made me stronger than I have ever been. I know the analogy of Phoenix rising from the ashes is an oft used one, but that is an accurate description of my experience.”  You can take a listen to the new track by heading over to Adobe & Teardrops. The track truly highlights the emotive vocals of Joe and you can’t help but feel the [Read More]
