SPOTLIGHT BAND: Alternative Rockers Chemist grabs your attention with their new single, Dissipate

February 1, 2019

Hailing from Denver, Colorado is the American alternative rock trio Chemist. The band consists of brothers Myles and Elliott Cook and bassist William Roland. They have recently released their debut album Reflect and you can check out their first single, Dissipate.     Their style brings to life a range of influences from Tool to the Beatles.  Their music is alive with passion and reminiscent of early Incubus and how the music would envelop your soul giving you everything you needed.  Whether it was understanding, compassion, a warm hug or inspiration to lift you from a dark place, the music will take over. In other words, it is a must have! Strong favorites of ours are Jaded, The Road and Reflect. VIDEO SPOTLIGHT: James delivers a raw beautiful video for their new song, Coming Home Pt. 2

June 28, 2018

There are not many alternative 90’s bands that I still listen to on a daily basis. But, James is one of those bands that have stood the test of time and consistently draws me into their music, nearly every day.  Whether it is my Go To energy boosting song Born of Frustration, or my summer fun track Sit Down, I am enjoying James.  I am so excited that they are set to release their new album, Living in Extraordinary Times on August 3rd. The album is produced by wonder duo Charlie Andrew and Beni Giles.   We have already been hooked on their new song, Hank and now we are completely floored by their latest video release. They have just released a video for their song, Coming Home Pt. 2 which is a sequel to their 1989 hit Come Home. Tim Booth comments on the song via Clash Music, “I wrote ‘Come Home’ feeling shit about leaving my older kid and splitting up with his mum. This is a part two, a sequel to that. My family is together but I’m [Read More]

Spotlight Artists: John and Joe release new infectious song, Honeyman

June 27, 2018

We are ready to bring the spotlight onto alternative duo John and Joe. The best friend songwriters John Doyle and Joseph Kashas are from Nashville and they have recently released an infectious new track, Honeyman. The song is the first single off their upcoming EP  which is set to release on July 1st. The track is a catchy fun song that will have you tapping your toes and dancing around. Perfect song for your summer playlist! John describes the song, The song Honeyman came together with a bassline Joe had been working on. We had been waiting to see when living in Nashville would start to influence us musically and it really comes out on this song. The guitar hook and solo especially show the influence this city has had on us so far. The song is about being in your early 20’s when it seems like nobody is interested in committed relationships yet feels very lonely most of the time. It’s about the ever changing belief of who your ideal partner is and the [Read More]

Spotlight shines on Bonelang for their celestial new video, Mushroom Moon

July 11, 2017

The spotlight is shining on Bonelang as they release a celestial powerful new music video for Mushroom Moon. The alternative duo have successfully delivered a fusion of hip-hop, soulful lyrics, electronic and alt-rock. The break-up style song captures a depth of emotion and a raw honest vulnerability can be felt with each spoken word. You can’t help but be drawn to this genre-defying track. Samy Language comments about the song, “‘Mushroom Moon’ is a breakup song. It started as a deep house track but after three years of molding, it has turned into what you are hearing in this video. Everyone knows heartache and how all-consuming it can feel. Here, these elemental emotions are placed in a cosmic yet intimate setting. Common wisdom will tell you that the vastness of space would seem to make us insignificant in comparison; perhaps instead the fact that we’re the only known entities capable of such breathtaking sorrow makes our small corner of the universe the most remarkable. Our intent in one sentence would be to establish purpose behind [Read More]
