Sleep for Dreaming is an alternative/indie rock band from Amarillo, Texas and they are definitely worthy of your attention. They are a powerful trio delivering emotionally driven songs wrapped in melodic alternative rock. They remind me of early Toad The Wet Sprocket and the first time I heard them. Terraplane Sun set to perform at the Made In America Festival

Girls and Boys open for Goo Goo Dolls at Sonoma Mountain Village

Last night we ventured out to the new music venue at Sonoma Mountain Village for the inaugural concert which featured Goo Goo Dolls. It was an awesome night. The Goo Goo Dolls are currently out on tour with Daughtry and the Plain White T’s. This show was off of their regular tour dates and we were unsure if there was going to be an opening band. We were excited when we saw another drum set on the stage giving us the assurance of an opening act. What I really love is seeing a completely new band with out knowing anything about them. The tour kicks off tonight at Hemingway’s in Los Angeles and will end on May 17th at The Shred Shed in Salt Lake City, Utah. New Single Buzzkill by Twin Berlin channels Nirvana

I have a very special treat for you today. I am listening right now to Buzzkill the new single by Twin Berlin off of their debut full length album, Sleazebrain which is due out February 18th,2014. It is unbelievably awesome! It reminds me of one of my all time favorite bands, Nirvana. Twin Berlin just exudes raw garage punk style reminiscent of early grunge days. Think garage style mixed with dirty punk and in your face rock! Vocals on the track are mysterious and multi-dimensional. The song has some nice guitar solos and I can only imagine what energy these guys give off when they perform live. You will get hooked on the solid drumming and cool bass lines. Balance and Composure set to release Album and Fall Tour with Coheed and Cambria

Pennsylvania alternative rock band, Balance and Composure are set to release their new album on September 10th via No Sleep Records. I am truly excited about this one! Titled, “The Things We Think We’re Missing” is their second album and I have already heard one of the songs off it, Reflection and it has me eagerly counting the downs down until the full album release. Balance and Composure have to be my new favorite indie-alternative band! I just heard Tiny Raindrop, another single from the new album and it brings back my love of the 90’s when alternative music captivated my attention and didn’t blur the lines with sub-genres.!
