Rock and Metal Legends Shine at Shoreline Amphitheatre

October 15, 2025

The night at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View was one for the books,  a true celebration of rock and metal that spanned generations. The show started off as Corrosion of Conformity hit the stage with raw intensity, setting the tone for what was to come. Their heavy riffs and tight grooves had the crowd chanting C-O-C with fists in the air. For me it was a nostalgic moment, taking me back to the first time I saw them perform at The Stone in San Francisco (oh what a venue that was!) all with the same unrelenting energy, the same fire, just on a much bigger stage. As the amphitheater filled to capacity, Alice Cooper took over and transformed the venue into his own twisted theatrical world. Watching Alice perform is never just attending a concert,  it’s stepping into a darkly whimsical rock opera, rich with storytelling, shock, and production. I was grinning from ear to ear and couldn’t help but think back to seeing him at The Warfield, where I first experienced that same sense [Read More]

Wings of Steel share video of acoustic cover of Judas Priest Dreamer Deceiver

February 19, 2025

Hard rockers Wings of Steel truly capture your attention with their acoustic cover of Judas Priest’s Dreamer Deceiver.  The song was performed by Leo Unnermark on vocals, Parker Halub on Lead guitar and Stefan Bailet on rhythm guitar and the session directed/filmed by Christian & Jean-Babtiste Lamet (METALXS/HARDFORCE). The event was organized by Olivier Garnier. The video was shot during a promotion day at Hard Rock Cafe Paris (before its permanent closing) on May 15, 2024. They comment about the track, “It’s no secret that we are inspired by the early beginnings of Heavy metal music.  “Dreamer Deceiver” is a Deep cut from Judas Priest early work off of the album “Sad wings of destiny” that speaks to the diversity of the band and the genre as a whole. While many bands might cover the classics, we decided to take on the challenge of playing an acoustic version of what we believe to be one of their greatest songs. This cover also helps to showcase our own musical abilities and diversity that is part of our sound” [Read More]

San Jose gets fed a double dose of heavy metal with Judas Priest and Steel Panther

November 17, 2014

Sunday nights have really become the best night for great concerts and last night was definitely one of the finest nights in music. Northern California was treated to a double dose of heavy metal with legendary Judas Priest and the fun Steel Panther. We arrived at the City National Civic early to find a great line of dedicated fans waiting for the show. I was really excited to see that Steel Panther was opening for Judas Priest on this tour. We have had the great pleasure of seeing them over half a dozen times and they still hold top honors for the funnest concert ever attended. Before the show we were able to interview Michael Starr and Lexxi Foxx and we will be bringing that hilarious interview to you later this week. Steel Panther put on an awesome set that fired up the crowd and insured that everyone was having a great time. Even those that were not familiar with Steel Panther and might have at first found their humor which some may consider “off [Read More]
