Watch the new lyric video from State Line Empire for We All Float

May 18, 2016

State Line Empire have just released a lyric video for their track, We All Float which is off their new EP, Tres Leches. State Line Empire truly brings back the raw honest way rock should be made, through analog and letting the music speak for itself. The song We All Float was a special one for them as Cat told us in a recent interview, Music Junkie Press: Now is there a certain song on the EP that really is more personal for you? Cat: Ya, I think so. All the songs are great. The one that I think, and I think this is unanimous, the one that really holds the most weight for us, is this new song called We All Float. Music Junkie Press: and why is that so special? Did you guys work on that song collaboratively. Cat: Ya, We did. And the band itself and it’s sound, has been evolving a lot over the last year. And I think that song really represents a turning point for us, musically. It is just a [Read More]

PREMIERE: Red Velvet Crush premieres impressive new track Forget Me Not

May 18, 2016

Red Velvet Crush are set to release their new EP, Crystal Clear this Friday.  The EP was recorded at Music Row in Nashville TN throughout the winter w/ producer Joshua Gleave and studio drums by Kelly Clarkson’s drummer Lester Estelle Jr. In anticipation of their new EP release, they are premiering their new single, Forget Me Not which completely rocks! Jillian comments about the new track, Our new single “Forget-Me-Not” was actually the first song we ever wrote together, right as Red Velvet Crush began. It’s a song that represents someone saying how they will always be there for you and then one day it all just turns around for the worse. What happened to saying you’d be there for someone, you know? We’ve been playing this since we started as a band at live shows and it’s always a favorite for people; it was an automatic and collaborative YES to being on the record and we love the way it came to life.  Take a listen to their new track:   The song is [Read More]

David Christopher tears down genre walls with his upcoming EP release, Rise of the Underdog

May 16, 2016

David Christopher is no stranger to the music scene, as he was formerly in a signed metal/punk band. He is now chartering new waters and is set to release his debut EP, Rise of the Underdog. His solo work will feature inspiration from his punk rock roots as well as a strong hip hop influence. He calls his sound, Punk Hop and is ready to tear down the genre walls with his new music. It is great to see an artist bring a mixture of their influences to life and create their own signature sound. We were able to get an update from him and what he is working on, Tell us David about your new music project you are working on. We understand it is much different than your previous work with punk/metal? Yes, I’m really excited to finally be releasing my new solo work to the world! This has been something I have been working on for the past year now. I’m having fun experimenting in the studio and bringing my love for [Read More]

Kevin Martin of Candlebox talks about their new album Disappearing In Airports

May 12, 2016

The multi-platinum rockers Candlebox have been touring in support of their recently released album, Disappearing In Airports.  We were able to catch them when they made a stop in San Francisco at Slim’s. It was a packed house and the crowd was filled with long time fans as well as a slew of new ones.  They were amazing and their sound was timeless as many longtime fans found themselves back in the ’90s singing all of their favorites.  What was quite impressive was the warm reception that their new songs received. Many fans already knew all of the words of the new songs, and were rocking out.  Their album has been well received and it completely rocks. We had the chance to chat with Kevin Martin about the new album and the music scene today. We are pleased to bring that interview to you here: * * * * * * *  Music Junkie Press: Thank you for taking the time to talk with us here at Music Junkie Press. We have been very excited [Read More]
