September 22, 2014

Set It Off are premiering a new song, N.M.E. which is off their forthcoming album, Duality and is set for a release of October 14th via Equal Vision Records. It is a really catchy track that will definitely have you anticipating the new album. I know I am really excited to hear more from Set it Off. Check out the song here: “This song was so fun to work on and an incredible learning experience,” shares Set It Off vocalist Cody Carson. “When this song was being written, we were in the studio with Neal Avron (Fall Out Boy, New Found Glory). He produced two of my favorite records of all time (From Under The Cork Tree, Sticks and Stones) and was so full of knowledge. He really upped my game in melody writing. So I would try over and over again on each one until I found the one that really stuck out to me. In this song I had a lot of anger to get out. This girl was stealing my friend [Read More]

The Family Ruin album Dearly Departed releases tomorrow and catch them out on tour!

September 22, 2014

The UK bad ass band, The Family Ruin are just hours away from the release of their album, Dearly Departed on KBB Records.  The album officially releases in the US on 9/23 and 9/29 for Europe.  This is one album that we have been so excited for you to all hear. It is definitely one killer album filled with high energy tracks and a great display of musicianship by these five guys. The Family Ruin have really been garnering a lot of well deserved attention since singing with KBB Records, the new record label of Asking Alexandria’s Ben Bruce and co-manager Kyle Borman. The Family Ruin have a very fresh new sound complete with hard and heavy riffs blended with infectious harmonies, where they blend their metal and alternative influences with melodic hard rock. There is something for everyone in their sound. Think about a mix of Avenged Sevenfold with Escape the Fate. Dearly Departed is definitely a must have album. In case you missed it, check out our recent review of Dearly Departed here. We are very [Read More]

Butcher Babies returned to Aftershock Festival with a fierce set!

September 21, 2014

We were glad to see the return of the Butcher Babies at this year’s Monster Energy Aftershock Festival. They are one of the most energetic female fronted bands out today. What is really awesome is that these frontwomen could give many men a run for their money when it comes to bringing power and presence to the stage. They hit the stage and took control of the crowd, energized everyone and definitely raised the heat a dozen or so degrees! We will be bringing you an interview with vocalist, Heidi Shepard later this week. Check out the photos by our Rockin Ryan from their blazing set: We were glad to hear them perform songs from their new EP Uncovered which is due out on September 30th through Century Media Records. The 5 song EP will feature cover songs that were chosen by each band member, and in the early summer of this year, they entered the studio with producer Logan Mader (DEVILDRIVER, GOJIRA, 5 FINGER DEATH PUNCH) to dissect and “butcher” these five classics, creating something [Read More]

They brought a really nice heavy set to the crowd and it was incredible. They are just fierce on stage and a highlight was one they played their bad ass track, Sangre por Sangre (Blood for Blood). The crowd went wild. Check out photos by our Rockin Ryan of their set: The Aftershock show was a good way to send off Hellyeah as they embarked on a tour with Volbeat,  Five Finger Death Punch and Nothing More. Eyes Set To Kill release lyric video for Little Liar and catch them out on tour!

September 19, 2014

Eyes Set To Kill have been busy with their non-stop touring. We caught their set at Aftershock and once again blew us away with their energy and killer music. The crowd went wild for them. Stay tuned as we will be bringing you full coverage of their set later this weekend. Meanwhile, they have just released a lyric video for their song, Little Liar . Check out the video here: Alexia had this to say about the song, “I started out writing this song about a woman named “Jodi Arias” who was on trial for brutally killing her boyfriend during the writing process of “Masks”. I found it fascinating that she kept denying and digging a hole deeper for herself by piling lies on top of lies. The whole world knew she was guilty but she still held on to her lies like she would eventually be set free. What I got from the whole story, was that the bigger the lie, the bigger the chances of getting caught. I think a lot of people, including me, have been [Read More]

EMAROSA premiere a new music video for I’ll Just Wait

September 18, 2014

EMAROSA recently released their new album Versus through Rise Records. Vocalist Bradley Walden states: “This record is the pressure, frustration & perseverance of the past 3 years. This is the future of Emarosa.”  They have just premiered a new music video for their song I’ll Just Wait which is off the new album. You can check it out here: The music video was shot in Orlando, FL and directed by Caleb Mallery. On the video, vocalist Bradley Walden explains, “The song is about finding love, losing love and waiting until you can have it again. There’s just a sense of loss and reflection throughout the video. Walking in the halls and singing in the places there was to be a wedding. There are moments where he looks back and sees all the times he could have saved himself from heartache. The altar hosts the band performing, while the chorus calls out, “Are you happy? Are you happier?”   You can pick up your copy of the album by visiting: Physical: http://emarosa.merchnow.com iTunes: http://bit.ly/UO8qf6  EMAROSA will be heading out on tour [Read More]
