May 12, 2014

Saturday night we headed down to the Troubadour in Hollywood to cover the CD Release Party of Hard Rockers Diamond Lane which was put on by Lara Gladstone Presents.. The night was exceptional and not only did Diamond Lane put on a KICK ASS set which we will be featuring in a later post, but all the bands were amazing. Make sure you check out our other posts on  Love and a .38, Diamond Lane, Bad Romantics and Delta Rose. The night started off with The Book of Curtis, which treated us all to a set filled with heartfelt songs that touched your soul. It was a set with a man and his guitar inviting us into his thoughts and world as we took a musical journey through his songs.  The songs literally made you feel as if you were in the right place at the right time. Words and melodies sung through passionate vocals completely touched me. The warm vocals held me captive as I enjoyed every word that trailed off in song. Completely amazing set and [Read More]

Check out Diamond Lane for some Modern Heavy Metal that ROCKS!

April 17, 2014

I love all styles of music but sometimes something new comes along and I just have to secretly scream inside because I am truly excited! That is exactly what happened when I found, or should I say, they found me, with Diamond Lane. Diamond Lane is a bad ass band from Los Angeles and you can describe them as a blend of Heavy Metal and Hard Rock with a modernized style. Diamond Lane is  Brandon Baumann – Lead Vocals Jarret Reis -Lead Guitar Ray Zhang – Lead Bass Frankie Lindia – Lead Guitar Dos Dave Vandigitty –  Lead Drums They have a new full length album coming out called Terrorizer set to release in May and it is fierce from start to finish! You are going to LOVE THIS! The first song I played was The Enemy and it just came in strong and full of energy. Brandon’s vocals remind me of early Sebastian Bach amid blazing guitars that feed your need for shred and riffs, and top it off with sweet basslines. The precision drumming is prominent [Read More]

March 11, 2014

We are still finishing up our coverage of all the bands we got to see at Lara Gladstone’s Gutter n Grind last month at the Troubadour. Tonight we wanted to feature Future Villains from Los Angeles. These supercharged rockers gave a high energy set that night and have everyone with their hands in the air rockin out. Future Villains are a modern rock band with noticeable influences in classic rock. They are definitely determined keep Rock n Roll alive. Check out a tribute video by Rockin Ryan featuring photos and footage of their set at the Troubadour:   If you are in the Southern California area, make sure to check them out as they will be playing at The Viper Room in Hollywood on March 14th. Interview with Delta Rose after their stellar performance at the Troubadour

February 21, 2014

Delta Rose! That is the band that I am hoping that you already know by now. We featured them last year during our Golden Gods Awards Coverage, Warped Tour Featured band as well as them being our Day 5  of our 12 Days of Bands You Have to Know. So I am hoping you have been paying close attention and are already familiar with these bad ass rockers… Delta Rose! These guys not only bring the old school rock and roll back to life with their young vibrant personalities but are also one of the hardest working bands on the scene.  They are not only busy playing shows all over Southern California but we even caught them performing at the Gibson booth during NAMM 2014.  They are an awesome band  that you can’t help but fall in love with them. Last weekend, we headed down to see Delta Rose perform at Lara Gladstone’s Gutter n Grind event at the Troubadour. This would be the first time we were able to catch a full set from one of our [Read More]
